Am I the Only One?

I know I can't be the only one that has gotten irritated by this lately... Now, I'm not a left or right-wing nut, so I REALLY don't want my news to be either... I have grown really disgusted at the amount of opinions that are mixed in with the news and treated as if they were fact. It is enough to drive me up a damn wall... I mean how sad is it when the most reliable and unbiased new sources are on Comedy Central?

In bad happenings the world needs someone to blame & The News assists the viewers in doing that.I'm sick of lies and rumors,I dont want to hear a rumor unless its a proven fact.Rumors should not be revealed to the public,it stirs up things for the public.
By the way i didnt get what you were trying to say so i just wrote what i thought you said.

Yeah, that's basically what I was saying... I was talking about the US with the left and right wings if that's what threw you, they are the two views of liberal and conservative... Basically some news stations here are REALLY liberal with the way they present the news, and some are REALLY conservative with how they present the news... it just really gets on my nerves that they can't just sit there and tell me the facts that I come to them for... as for the last part, it was put to a vote and the public voted that John Stewart, who hosts a parody type news show on Comedy Central, was voted as the must trustworthy man to give the news.

But I agree 110%, news is not news unless they cut out the BS and give the public the truth and nothing more or less.

But either way, it is EXTREMELY sad when news on *COMEDY CENTRAL* is voted the most trustworthy source...

Not at all. If you listen to their jokes, they're aimed at the conservative party. If you read their bios, they're die hard liberals. They don't give you a fair slate of the news.

Reply #12 - 11/04/09 at 6:02pm The reason the media is bad is because during the 1980's the Regan Admistration got rid of a fairness law. A fairness law is that news programme has to show two sides of the story. Since they got rid of the law the politcal parties and the big business in America scrambled to gain a peice of this media pie.
