I have gone back and forth with this decision so many times, but I think I’m finally there. I’m going to say good-bye to Linda’s Thoughts. I don’t know if it’s me, or the fact that I’m just not enjoying Raw or Smackdown like I used too, but I am finding it an effort to do a column on both shows. It’s gotten so bad here that either I dread putting something out, OR I forget that I am supposed to put a column out. This is a day that I really didn’t see coming until I would say the last couple of months. And even though I have no intention of giving up on Raw, Smackdown or even ECW the thought of talking about the shows just means nothing to me anymore.

I don’t know if it’s the PG rating that did it, or just the fact that it’s the same old feuds over and over again, but writing on a weekly basis is not what I want to do anymore. I think the thing that bothers me the most about all of this is that I will miss the emails that all of you send me. I have always looked forward to reading your thoughts and so many of you say the nicest things about my what I have to say. Feedback has always been one of the reasons I loved doing the columns. Plus I can’t thank you for getting so many wonderful compliments from you many of you. You can bet I will miss that a lot. Yet I have noticed that I haven’t even been answering the emails like I used too, and that’s just wrong, because all of you are the reason that these columns continued. It was your support that kept this chick going for almost ten years. I’m going to miss you all so much. You made this 55 year old feel like a kid because you all made me feel 30 years younger by accepting me as a fan.

I will also miss all the wonderful webmasters that I work for. This group treats me with such respect and in a way I feel that I am letting each one down. But it’s so much better to leave then to continue to be so inconsistent with my columns. I want to thank you guys for all that you have done for me, and making this one of the best highlights of my life. I’ve learned a lot from all of you and just like my readers you guys also made me feel like my opinions really meant a lot. I will never be able to thank you enough for hiring me and KEEPING ME.

I can’t believe that this is it. I’m starting to tear up, but I really do know this is for the best. I can’t thank you all enough for being with me through all the losses in my life and all my health problems. Your compassion and kind words always lifted me, and that I will always remember. Well I will say good-bye to my column, but hopefully many of you will keep in touch. And just remember I’m still going to watch the shows, but now I just might turn off segments that I could care less about. See I can do that now because I won’t be talking about them. So that’s a positive. And one more thing thank you for putting up with my constant lists of things that I didn’t like. I probably would have had another list from Monday’s show, but at least there were some highlights. To my readers, friends, and my wonderful webmasters, THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART.

Hey this will shock you I liked HIAC and I also liked Raw. What? Does that mean there won’t be a list? It sure does mean that. I have to say I was quite happy with both shows, but not too happy about how many I got right on Sunday. I only got three right, so let’s move on. Seriously that’s okay I really didn’t expect to do well so that prediction really came true. Let me very quickly touch on both shows because you know I really could make this an extra long column, and I would hate to do that to all of you. So it’s on to HIAC and then Monday’s Raw, which I really didn’t expect to care for, but I really liked it. And I’ll tell you why I think the show came off as well as it did.

The Hell In A Cell pay per view was a very solid show. I can’t really complain about a thing except for the bloodless HIAC matches. I mean really I knew the chances of any blood at all were so slim. And like my friend Molly said, once she saw the Ninja Turtles in the skybox she knew blood wasn’t going to make an appearance on the show. I guess it’s one thing to keep that squeaky clean image on Raw and Smackdown, but why can’t things change for a pay per view? Ah that wonderful PG rating. Unfortunately its really done more harm than good. Anyway I did like the show and the HIAC matches were all good, I wouldn’t say any were brutal like from years ago but they came off well. Taker vs. Punk was the opening match and it was a GOOD one. I thought that Punk really stepped up here and he and Taker put on a great opener. But I was not happy that Taker won, not when you hear that he is in horrible physical shape. In fact supposedly he’s worse off than first thought. I just feel that Punk should have won, and it bothers me because since the Jeff Hardy program ended Punk isn’t coming off as HOT as he was during that feud. But this was a very good match.

One of my most favorite matches of the night was Dolph Ziggler vs. John Morrison. I expected a lot from these two, but this match went way beyond my expectations. This was such a strong showing for both guys and after watching the match it gave me a lot of hope that Ziggler and Morrison will continue to get a push, because they really deserve it, especially after this match. The tag team match between JeriShow vs. Batista and Rey Mysterio was excellent. In fact Batista and Big Show came off as well as Mysterio and Jericho. Everyone in this match did a super job and it was one of my favorite matches of the night. Mickie James vs. Alicia Fox was an okay match, but it was definitely not a pay per view match. You have to hand it to Fox and James because they worked hard out there, and had this match been on Raw then I probably would have praised it much more. Randy Orton’s win totally shocked me, and I’m not exactly thrilled about that win either but along with Cena they put on another good match. Honestly the Cell wasn’t needed for this one, but then again that was kind of the case for each Cell match, but I think this was the best match that these two have had together in a while.

Another match that would have been a good one on Smackdown but didn’t really belong on this show was Drew McIntyre vs. R. Truth. I happened to like the little that we got, but there wasn’t enough I don’t I guess fanfare to slip this on the show. You could hear boring chants which I always hate hearing, but it could have been because as good as the build up came off on Smackdown both guys just don’t have that star power yet for a pay per view.

The Miz vs. Jack Swagger vs. Kofi Kingston came off well with Kofi winning which I didn’t expect. I knew this match would be a good one because we have seen this combination a few times. As the match got to the end it really became fun and exciting to watch. Again I wouldn’t say that this was an exceptional match, but Swagger, Miz and Kingston put a lot into it. And finally the main event with DX vs. Legacy. This one really started out cool with Legacy beating the crap out of Triple H and Shawn before anyone got into the ring. And then there were good parts and weird parts. The first weird part was when Hunter was on the ramp and Rhodes attacked him and knocked him “unconscious” with the CrossRhodes. Hunter was out for quite a long time so it was up to Shawn to take on Rhodes and DiBiase. See I couldn’t understand why they kept showing Hunter flat on his back and there was no ref or medic out there helping him. I thought that was handled poorly.

HBK took a major beating in the Cell from Legacy and sold like crazy. I was completely into all of this. Okay so we get some very exciting things going on in the Cell and we see Triple H stagger to the Cell only he can’t get in because he was locked out thanks to DiBiase. Okay so that’s fine, but what I didn’t get was why was Hunter killing himself to get in? Why didn’t a ref come to him with the key to unlock the lock? Why did Hunter have to leave for a few minutes to get bolt cutters? None of that made sense at all. But all in all Shawn and Legacy made this a good match. Hunter then got in and helped Shawn. I got a kick out of the beating that Rhodes got from them, and even though Hunter finally got into the match this was Shawn’s baby and he got the pin on Rhodes. I thought this was a good match to end the show and as I said HIAC was a good pay per view.

But you know what? So was Raw. I can’t tell you how happy I was with Ben Roethlisberger. I didn’t know what to expect from him at all. But this guy was just so natural. He wasn’t on throughout the show and when he was on he was pleasant and didn’t try to over do it. I totally enjoyed him. I even liked the Annual Diva Bowl. This was short and sweet and I had no problem with this at all. It was fun while it lasted. I wasn’t happy with the Randy Orton/John Cena segment. I’m just not into this feud. I just don’t care about either guy. They both need to move on. I kind of got to a point where I wasn’t paying attention to what was being said. But I did hear that they are doing an Iron Man Match at Bragging Rights. I’m not so sure that I could take an hour with these two. But the first match of the night had Swagger beating Primo. This was an okay match, but it was way too short for me. And like Evan Bourne I hate seeing Primo go out like this. This is another guy that brings so much to the ring. So a quickie like this isn’t what I want to see. Hey did you hear Swagger he’s not going to lose another match this year. Yeah I could see that he’s only got about 12 weeks left so it makes sense to me. The backstage segment with Santino and the Diva’s was okay. The funniest part for me was when Santino wanted Mickie and Felicia to kiss and make up and then he said really kiss, and then I think he said seriously kiss. That was funny. Also I thought the Miz and Roethlisberger had a good moment in Ben’s “office.” It was the Miz that got pinned by Kingston on Sunday night, but when he complained to Roethlisberger about Swagger’s promo saying that he wasn’t pinned on Sunday night, Roethlisberger came back and asked well who was pinned, and of course the Miz had to admit it was him. It’s something you had to see but it was quite funny. The Miz got his wish and Ben gave him a rematch for the U.S. title. But if the Miz lost, Roethlisberger wanted the Miz to say that he was AWFUL. Now see I figured that was a sure sign that the Miz was losing. But again I was wrong.

Before that match it was Chris Masters and Chavo vs. Mark Henry and MVP. This match was really good. I have to say unlike his first run in the WWE, Masters is doing nothing but wrestling. Before they would bring him to the ring and he would immediately put the Masterlock on and that was it. Week after week the same crap. But now Master’s is wrestling in full matches and it definitely makes a difference to me. He has looked good in the ring and it’s nice that he’s being used so much better than the first time around. I LOVED the whole Roethlisberger/Big Show/Jericho DX segment. My God Jericho is a total riot and Big Show wasn’t bad either when he was trying to come off bigger and better than Big Ben and his offensive line. This was a really fun segment and Jericho was right in there like a little brat. Then DX came out and I was thrilled because I have been hoping for something between DX and JeriShow. I got a big kick out of Hunter and Jericho. Hunter complimented Jericho on how nice his hair looked, and Jericho being the egomaniac that he is bought it and smiled. He asked Hunter really” and Hunter said No. Again something you had to see, because Jericho was just glowing because he believed Hunter meant it. This was one nice segment and I was so excited that the main event would be with these four guys.

But first we go the Miz vs. Kingston for the U.S. Title. And this was a fantastic match. I loved this I think much more than their match with Swagger from the night before. This was one hard worked match and to my surprise Kingston lost and the Miz became the new U.S. champion. Oh why wasn’t that done the night before because I could have gotten 4 right, oh well this match was so good that the Miz’s win was just fine with me. And finally Raw put on one of their best main events in a long time. DX vs. Big Show and Jericho. This was just awesome and so much fun to watch. There was a lot of excitement going on and I was just so into watching this foursome. Everything worked so well in this match and Jericho was again perfect playing the poor sport and trying to leave. He didn’t get to far because Big Ben and his guys now in DX shirts blocked Jericho from leaving. Hunter and HBK were standing directly behind Jericho and it was Michaels that brought him back in the ring with Shawn hitting Sweet Chin Music on him and Hunter getting the pin. Big Show wasn’t involved because minutes earlier Hunter took Show out and clothes-lined him into the stands. This was a super way to end a good show and here’s hoping that this wasn’t a one-time thing, this could be one hell of a good feud.

So back-to-back good shows. That is a nice thing to finally be able to sat. So props to Big Ben for coming through on Monday night’s show. And, props to all the hard working superstars that made Sunday’s pay per view so worth watching. Okay look for me over the weekend with my Smackdown thoughts, and after reading the spoilers this just might be another good show. By the way I watched ECW last night and I’m very happy with William Regal’s role on the show. I’m starting to think that ECW is the perfect place for him. I like the fact that he is the head of the stable with Kozlov and Ezekiel. He seems very comfortable in his role. Okay remember check out my Smackdown thoughts over the weekend.

Before I give you my predictions for tonight’s show there are two things that I want to mention. The first is my comment this past week about Bret Hart and his lack of charisma. A few of my readers were kind of enough to email me and tell me that this guy definitely had charisma. When I read these emails I realized how could I have made that statement when I never saw Bret in the WWE. I really felt bad that I made that I said that, and I want to apologize for putting it out there. Okay second I enjoyed Smackdown, but there were two segments that I absolutely loved. The first was that phenomenal Eddie Guerrero tribute video. Tears were just streaming from my eyes. Just watching it made me realize just how valuable he was to the company and how much I miss him. And when the crowd stood up after viewing it, well that’s when I really lost it. This was just a fantastic segment. And finally the Rock returned. This man didn’t miss a beat and I can’t tell you the chills I got when he started doing all of the Rock’s material. For a woman that was never a fan of the Rock’s I loved watching him like never before. And when he mentioned guest-hosting Raw all I could think of was that Raw’s ratings would probably be at it’s highest in sometime. These two segments were by far the highlights of what turned out to be a good Smackdown. Now without further stalling here are my picks for tonight’s Hell In A Cell. If I get more than two right I am going to be very shocked. This card is one of the most difficult in a very long time. I’m not secure at all with anything I predicted. But what the hell, it’s still fun doing this.

World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk vs. Undertaker (Hell in a Cell Match)

I don’t know how Punk will beat the Undertaker without Taker looking weak, but Punk will retain. Even thought the Undertaker physically is not in good shape you can bet that he’s going to give 110% out there. And even thought Taker is going to give it is all, Punk somehow will get the better of him and remain champion. I think this is going to be a damn good match. Taker and HIAC matches just go hand in hand and because of that, Punk is going to work even harder which could mean that this is going be the match of the night. Oh I cannot wait to see this one.

Winner: CM Punk

Divas Champion Mickie James vs. Alicia Fox

Lately the women’s division on Raw has not looked to good in the ring. And Mickie hasn’t exactly shined as of late, so I am wondering if tonight we are going to get a new women’s champion. Well I think we are and that is why I am going with Alicia for the win. Honestly I wouldn’t mind the change at all. Plus let’s face it this division is not what it was so maybe a fresh new champion could be the start of the women’s division getting some credibility back.

Winner: Alicia Fox

WWE Champion John Cena vs. Randy Orton (Hell in a Cell Match)

I just can’t see John Cena losing. Cena will retain and I would love for this to be the end of the feud. I just hope Orton doesn’t dominate and repeatedly beat up Cena, because then we all know that Cena will make one of his unbelievable recoveries and then defeat Orton. You know how I feel about that since I talked about it in last week’s column. If Cena is going to win then I hope to God it’s booked where both guys are pretty even in what they do to each other. As I said Cena will win and I have a feeling this is the match closing the show. I wish I could say I can’t wait to see this one, but I would be lying. o.

Winner: John Cena

D-Generation X vs. The Legacy (Hell in a Cell Match)

Supposedly this match is going to open the show. This is the perfect match to get things going. DX will have the crowd popping like crazy when they come out and Legacy will just keep things going since they really have shown a lot since they started up with DX. I can’t wait to see these four go at it. With Hunter and Shawn Michaels veterans of these matches I think they are going to bring out the very best in Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes. This match should be a very good match and I look for DX to win and I think this too could be the last time we see these four go at it.

Winners: DX

United States Champion Kofi Kingston vs. The Miz vs. Jack Swagger

Oh say good-bye to the title Kofi because tonight you are going to lose. Now will the Miz win or will it be Jack Swagger? Well if this match would have taken place months ago I would have said Jack Swagger would win this without a doubt, but unfortunately Swagger hasn’t gotten that push that I thought he would once he was drafted to Raw from ECW. I have to go with the Miz tonight. I am thinking that since supposedly the Miz was planning on leaving the WWE, maybe he was promised gold if he stayed. That’s why I could see the Miz as the new U.S. champion. I would really be shocked if he didn’t win. This should come off very well and I think the crowd will definitely be into this one.

Winner: The Miz

Unified Tag Team Champions Chris Jericho & Big Show vs. Batista & Rey Mysterio

I am so anxious to see Jericho go back to his solo act on Smackdown. So maybe this is wishful thinking on my part but because Rey returns tonight and Batista isn’t 100 percent yet I think those two will win and Jericho and Show will finally go their separate ways. Smackdown could use Jericho on a regular basis and then Batista and Mysterio could show up on both Smackdown and Raw. I think it’s the end of JeriShow. Hey this should be a very good match with Rey and Jericho working their asses off. They work so well with each other and I expect both of these guys to be the stars of this match.

Winners: Dave Batista and Rey Mysterio

Intercontinental Champion John Morrison vs. Dolph Ziggler

How can this one be a bad match? It can’t. I am so happy that these two young guys have a place on this show. I’m really looking forward to seeing this one and I don’t expect to be disappointed at all. Wow this one is another tough one to pick. Ziggler failed a few times to beat Mysterio for the championship, so how would it look to have him lose again? Yet, these two haven’t really faced each other for this title on a pay per view so I don’t know if Morrison would hang on and lose it at another pay per view. I’m so torn about which guy to go with. I really haven’t got a clue. Okay so I’m just going to say that Morrison hangs to the title for a little longer.

Winner: John Morrison

R-Truth vs. Drew McIntyre

They just added this match last night. Listen I’m really anxious to watch McIntyre in the ring, His mic work has been very good and each week I have to say he has held my interest. R Truth hasn’t been in a match for a while since McIntyre has attacked him on a regular basis. But Truth can put on some good matches so this could turn out to be something to watch. Yeah I can’t wait to see these two in the ring. Since this is Drew’s first match I just can’t see him losing. I think he HAS to go over tonight or all the bragging that he has done for weeks would be for nothing. I’ll say McIntyre gets his first Smackdown win tonight.

Winner: Drew McIntyre

Okay so there are my unsure picks of the night. I have ordered the show and I’m hoping that we got some bloody matches for a change, but of course unless someone actually gets busted open by accident I’m sure with the PG rating a bloody show is not what we are going to get. Ah how I miss those days. Look for me Tuesday or Wednesday with my thoughts on this show and Raw. Remember Ben Roethlisberger is hosting tomorrow night. I wish I knew if that was good thing or a bad thing. Here’s hoping that Raw is a lot better than last week’s show because the thought of listing all the bad segments brings a tear to my eye.

It would be SO easy for me to do another dreaded list about Monday’s Raw, but why should I put all of you through that again? The show was an absolute train wreck. The last Raw before Hell In A Cell, and this is the show we got? It’s beyond pathetic. And if you don’t believe me check out the rating. It went down to 3.1. That’s is low compared to where the show has been in the last few months. So instead of the doom and gloom that would make up most of this column I thought I would mention two rumors that are going around. You know that I love rumors and the ones that I plan to talk about are kind of MAJOR rumors. And then I’m going to end with something that I HATED on Raw, and it just won’t leave me. So other than that little item I’m going to try very hard to forget about this week’s Raw.

Okay so the latest is that Bret Hart has decided that he wouldn’t mind working with Vince and the WWE. Hart supposedly would like to be on once a week in a non-wrestling role. Now this is big since Hart for years refused to have anything to do with WWE, but now for whatever reason Hart wants to come back. Now to go further with this rumor there are some out there that are saying that instead of being on each week he might just come on as a guest host. Now that I like. Okay I honestly didn’t see much of Hart since I came in after he left WWE and I wasn’t much of a WCW fan. But from what I can remember Hart isn’t exactly a charismatic kind of guy. Now I will say I was so fortunate to see Hart inducted in the Hall of Fame and he did surprise me with some very humorous stories. But on a regular basis I just don’t think personality wise he would be that enjoyable to watch. HOWEVER as a guest host? That I could see and I would love that. I mean the guy has been away from the company for over 10 years and letting him host for a night would be a major coup. I say bring him in as a host and do it soon.

What about the rumor that Matt Hardy IS being punished for his brother Jeff’s arrest? Well I mentioned this I believe in a column last week. I wondered if the lack of Matt on Smackdown had anything to do with Jeff’s arrest. Listen whether that’s the case or not I don’t know but I find it very odd that since the Hardy arrest, Matt hasn’t appeared on Smackdown. He’s been backstage, but he hasn’t been on the show. Oh sure he had a Superstars match against Kane last week, but that’s been it. You know if Jeff Hardy is the reason for Matt being off then I say COME ON, this guy has been a team player for years. And even though Vince released him after that whole thing with Lita and Edge, Matt returned to the WWE instead of TNA. Maybe for more money? Possibly but I always saw him as a guy with such a passion for the business and WWE was where he wanted to be. So if he’s paying for Jeff’s crap then that really ticks me off. Smackdown needs Matt out there more than ever and you know I would like to think there’s a better reason for his absence from the show, but I have a feeling we might never get the truth.

And finally the one thing that is still pissing me off from Monday night. Can you guess what it is? Oh I bet you can. It was the main event where the mild mannered John Cena transformed into Super Cena and made a remarkable comeback after getting brutalized by Chris Jericho and Big Show. I am getting to where I was a year or so ago where watching Cena was worse than having a tooth pulled without Novocain. I’m sick and tired of this guy getting beaten to where he “can’t stand” but then in a matter of seconds he pops up walks without limping and laughs and does his usual thing. He did it most recently when Randy Orton handcuffed him to the ropes and beat him silly. He sold for a little bit but then with a blink of an eye he was able to make a comeback and win the title. And to make matters worse, the next night on Raw he came out laughing, and not selling anything from the night before. This is something that is done just about all the time with Cena. And Monday I guess I just had it. He couldn’t stand, he couldn’t move, but man when Randy Orton came out wow he stood nice and tall and yes smiled and attacked Orton. And Orton showed signs of being a coward. Yeah very well played. I hate this Super Cena character and I do notice that Cena is getting more pops then ever from the crowd and for me that’s a bad sign, because Super Cena is not going to end anytime soon. Now before I get hey Triple H has taken out guys tons of times, I will say he absolutely has. So have the Rock, Steve Austin and others. But I haven’t seen anyone do the crap that Cena does. This guy hasn’t got a clue about selling, or maybe it’s Vince who is telling him don’t sell to much your are super hero. Whatever the case I hated the main event so much that it still is eating at me.

So as you can see this is another very short column, but if it were up to me I would have a nice positive lengthy one, but right now I just don’t feel like talking about shows that are way below average. Okay now I read the spoilers for the 10th Anniversary Smackdown show and they rocked, I am looking so forward to this show. There are so many cool things on there, but I don’t want to spoil anything so make sure you watch it. Don’t forget this weekend is the Hell In A Cell pay per view and I will have my predictions over the weekend. I have gotten a few from some of you, so just keep them coming. Hey maybe next week’s Raw will be a hell of a show with Ben Roethlisberger, but then again, I know very little about him, so I don’t know what this guy can bring to the show. Well I guess I will find out next week. Okay don’t forget start sending in your predictions for Sunday’s show.

Okay it’s not the time to panic yet, and yet is the key word, but I’m starting to feel that Smackdown is losing the wonderful momentum it has had for months and it’s slowly getting back to the Smackdown that was just bearable to watch. Hopefully this is just a minor set back that’s why I started with it’s not time to panic yet, however if the next few weeks are anything like the last two Smackdown’s then I would say we are in trouble. Gosh I have to do another list, and that’s something I don’t ever think I started with Smackdown, but there was just too many negatives for me on Friday night. You have no idea how bummed out I am that I wasn’t able to rave about this show, especially after such a miserable Raw this past Monday night. All right let me start with what I liked and it wasn’t much and then yes the list of garbage that took over the show. I’m sorry but this isn’t going to be a long column because there really isn’t much to say about what the show, so I thought it would just makes this short, but unfortunately not sweet.

I thought the Straight Edge World Champion did another awesome promo to get the show going. Again CM Punk did his usual insults directed towards the fans about their uses of drugs, prescription drugs and alcohol. I thought Punk came off extremely well here, but there is one thing that I think needs to stop. And that’s the drug and alcohol material. We know that all of that has to do with Jeff Hardy and when Hardy was there boy Punk’s promos were perfect. But with Hardy gone all of this really has nothing to do with the Undertaker, and see this was one thing that I was concerned about. I wondered how things would come off with Taker as far as promo’s go. And unfortunately it’s going the way I thought not well. It’s time to put Taker down and it seems to me that the creative team just doesn’t know how to handle that character. So I really did like the way Punk came off, but it’s time to move on from the Hardy material and focus on Taker.

I liked the John Morrison/Finlay match against Mike Knox and Dolph Ziggler. I know some of the feedback hasn’t been that favorable about this one but I liked it, especially when Morrison would get in there. I have to say I’m very happy to see Ziggler and Morrison got at it for the Hell In A Cell pay per view. These two young guys hopefully will put on a good strong match. But going back to this one it wasn’t long and it definitely held my interest. Again Knox is looking good out there like he did on Raw for a while and all in all this match definitely worked for me.

I also really liked JGT vs. David Hart Smith. I will be honest with you I’m more impressed with Tyson Kidd than Smith but Friday night he did a good job, and JGT? This guy I really love watching. He works with speed and comes up with some strong moves and this match probably was my favorite of the night. Hey I still like this Drew McIntyre. I thought he cut a decent promo and I happen to like this feud so far with McIntyre and R. Truth. And the main event was okay. It wasn’t like oh wow what a match, but it was decent.

Wow that’s it the rest I could have done without, and now here is my list of things that never should have been put on TV.

I could have done without Theodore Long in a casket. I guess maybe because it’s been done before. The only good thing about this was that Long set up the HIAC match between Punk and Taker with the ban being lifted on Taker’s Dragon Gate hold, which of course did not make Punk a happy guy.

I have no interest whatsoever in Slam Master J nor did I care about Kane squashing him.

I’m not that happy that Vince McMahon is on Smackdown. I can’t say that he is ruining the show, but his appearance each week is something that I don’t think is needed.

I hated the Big Show vs. Batista match. This was torture to watch and the only thing that I did like was Jericho getting involved. But Dave and Show really couldn’t get it together at all.

Without Jeff Hardy the show has really lost it’s energy, and because of that the show has for now lost it’s upbeat feeling.

So another WWE show that really kind of failed for the week. I’m not going to say it’s not disappointing because it is, but again this could be a temporary setback. So now Monday it’s on to Raw and host Al Sharpton. I am so hoping this guy can make it fun because I don’t need another show like last week. But really I guess it all boils down to the creative team, that’s the group that needs to come up with a winning formula to make Raw worth watching. I will be back either Tuesday or Wednesday with my thoughts about the show. And wouldn’t it be nice if this time there is no LIST! I would love that.

Before I start the list of hell, I wanted to tell you the reason why I have kept a low profile, or basically the reason why I haven’t posted any columns since my Breaking Point Predictions. I have been sick with Bronchitis. Tomorrow will be two weeks since it hit me. This thing has really knocked the hell out of me and it’s been an effort to do really anything, especially as the day goes one. But I’m back today and I’m sorry that I couldn’t come back with a positive Raw column, but if you saw last night’s show then you know what to expect. This was torture last night and as I said the list of doom is on it’s way, but let me start with just a few highlights and I do mean a few and then it’s on to the list.

The highlight for me was the opening match between Triple H vs. Cody Rhodes. I loved this match for a number of reasons. First, DX didn’t do their usual fun stuff; instead they focused on Legacy and their Hell In A Cell Match in two weeks. Hunter and Shawn did a nice job talking about just how brutal this match can be. Second I loved how Cody dominated most of the match. Last week Shawn did a super job putting Ted DiBiase over in a very good match, and last night Hunter did the very same thing with Rhodes. And third not only did I love the match, but I was thrilled when DiBiase and Rhodes attacked the hell out of Hunter and Shawn. This match was a great way to start the show, and it’s just too bad that things didn’t continue to come off this well, but anyway this was my highlight of the night.

I also liked Mickie vs. Beth Phoenix. I would have loved to have seen this go a little longer, but what we got was entertaining, and I also got a kick out of some of Alicia Fox’s reactions geared toward the fans that were booing her. She came off very natural as a bitch and that is a compliment. The main event with Randy Orton, Chris Jericho and Big Show taking on John Cena, MVP and Mark Henry came off very well. Just like the opening match this was a real crowd pleaser and with all the crap that the show gave us at least this held my attention. I thought all four did a good job and of course anything that has Jericho in there is always a good thing. Also I happened to like Santino and Cedric’s segment. I really didn’t expect too but Santino made it a lot of fun and I didn’t even mind Chavo coming out. This was probably the only Cedric segment that I liked. And finally Lillian Garcia’s heartfelt good-bye was not only done so well but she had me crying along with her. You could just tell that she meant what she said and I have to say that I have seen her live so many times and every time that woman sang the National Anthem I would get chills. She sang with such feeling and emotion and I will miss not seeing her live and on TV.

Well here we go my list of all the garbage on the show. Sit back and prepare yourself for a long list.

The opening with Cedric The Entertainer. Now before I complain I have to say I liked Cedric. He came off very likeable it was just the material he came with that I hated. The opening with his “entourage” leaving the Limo didn’t make me laugh, and when I so the goat come out the first thing that hit me was, I’m going to say this was a BAAAAAD beginning to the show.

While I thought Miz’s interview with Josh Matthews came off very well. But, I’m a little sick and tired of Evan Bourne doing the job. Or maybe I should say I could handle Bourne losing if he was just given a chance to work a match where he looks as good as he did on ECW. I was very disappointed by the way this thing turned out. Had it gone on longer with Bourne being able to have a lot more offense then I wouldn’t have minded the loss, but this match did nothing for me.

I think one of the worst parts of last night’s show was the contract signing. This was beyond boring. I hated the way John Cena came off and his actions made Orton look like a total jerk. You have DX talking about HIAC and how dangerous it is, but during this contract signing, Orton was being serious as usual, but Cena was laughing and telling so called jokes and he really came off so obnoxious. Having Orton come off so focused against a guy just out there making faces and joking was HORRIBLE. Didn’t Cena last week say that he was a changed man after being tortured by Orton at Breaking Point? I guess by changed he meant more annoying and obnoxious than ever. This was just pathetic and as I said it made Orton look as bad as Cena because Orton was doing what was expected of him, focusing on their big HIAC match but it was Cena that made all of this seem like it meant nothing. GREAT JOB CREATIVE TEAM!

Are you kidding me? Jack Swagger one of your best heels vs. Kofi Kingston in a two-minute match ends with Swagger going after the Miz for stealing the title belt. I mean what the hell is going on? This was for the U.S. title, and Swagger opts to go after the Miz for taking the belt, when he possibly could have beaten Kingston and won the title? Another bravo for the Creative Team. I would love to know what they were smoking last night.

What can I say about Cedric vs. Chavo with another run in from Hornswoggle? Well I could say a lot but I’ll act like a lady so NEXT.

As much as I liked the main event, I just knew that Orton, Jericho and Show would win when Jericho and Show said that they talked Cedric into making this interesting. If they won, Cena would face them in a Gauntlet match next week on Raw. But if they lose then Orton would face Cena, MVP and Henry in a Gauntlet match. There was no way Cena’s team was winning. Because next week Cena will show that Super Cena side of him and take them all out. That’s something that I don’t need to see.

Six miserable segments on Raw, and every time I think Raw is finding its way back it’s shows like this that knock it right back down. Well look for me over the weekend with my Smackdown thoughts and while I liked Friday’s show I didn’t find it to be one of Smackdown’s best, so hopefully this week the show will be better, hell you know it has to be better than last night’s Raw.

Wow another pay per view tonight, it seems like we just had one three weeks ago, oh wait we did, Summer Slam. I remember when this pay per view was called Unforgiven, but now it’s called Breaking Point. And this show has quite a few submission matches. The worst part of predicting tonight’s show is that there a few matches that are so unpredictable that I haven’t a clue which guy to go with. I have a feeling that this is going to be one of my weakest showings in awhile. With that said I’m still excited about sharing my picks with you and I’m so happy to have received so many of your predictions and don’t forget keep them coming. I will do my best to answer each one before the show. Okay wish me luck because here they are.
C.M. Punk vs. Undertaker in a submissions match for the World Hvt. Championship

Why not start out with one of the toughest picks for me? I still don’t know which way I am going here. See a part of me says you have to go with Taker. It’s his first pay per view match since he left back in April. AH, but another part of me says, come on let Punk keep that title, he just got it back from Jeff Hardy and why take it from him after only 3 weeks? But wait, let’s not forget that this is a submission match, and Taker has never submitted to anyone in his entire WWE career. Sure that just adds to my confusion. Oh I am in a major dilemma here. Well before I tell you my final answer, let me just say I expect this one to end the show and if it doesn’t I will be very surprised. I look for this match to be quite the crowd pleaser and I’m very anxious to see how Punk and Taker work together. The man leaving with the World Hvt. Title will be…CM Punk. You got think that Vince will leave that title on him maybe until the next pay per view, which will be Hell In A Cell.

Winner: CM Punk

Randy Orton vs. John Cena in an “I Quit” match for the WWE Championship

Hey don’t think that this one is an easy either. I’m going with Cena for the win. See my thinking is this is a perfect match for the heel to cry out I QUIT. I mean if Cena did it would kind of erase that Super Cena that Vince gives us week after week. But if Orton quits I could see him doing it with reluctance, with anger, but at least doing it. So Cena becomes the new WWE champion and Randy Orton will demand a rematch and I do mean DEMAND one for the Hell In Cell pay per view. I did not like Cena/Orton at all at Summer Slam, so I have to believe that this one will definitely be an improvement.

Winner: John Cena
DX vs. Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase in a “submission count anywhere” match

DX wins! No wait Legacy wins! Okay next match. I’m only kidding here, Honestly I feel that DX is going to win, but I’m going with Legacy. Here’s why. At the end of the main event on Monday’s Raw, DX ended things with Hunter putting the Sharp Shooter on Randy Orton, and Shawn hitting Masters with the Figure Four. See that makes me think since DX got to use both finishers we aren’t going to see an encore tonight with DX making Legacy submit. And I really would love to see Rhodes and DiBiase win one against DX. Can you imagine if Legacy won, and Orton lost how that story could unfold in weeks to come? DX can always get the upper hand at the Hell In A Cell pay per view. I loved these 4 at Summer Slam and I’m looking forward to another very good match tonight. By the way the real fun could come if DX wins. We all know how many of the Montreal fans feel about HBK. So let’s just say that he puts Rhodes or DiBiase in a Sharp Shooter can you imagine the reaction the fans will give him? Oh this could be a lot of fun, but I’m still sticking with Legacy.

Winner: Legacy

Christian vs. William Regal for the ECW Title

The only thing I want to know is if this will go more than 8 seconds. I would think it definitely will and I’m going with Regal for the win. I figure he has this new stable with Kozlov and Ezekiel and what’s the point in having them out there again if Regal doesn’t benefit from it. I see this match being a solid bout and even though it will go on for longer than 8 seconds I don’t expect it to last more than I would say 10 minutes. While I could see Tommy Dreamer trying to help Christian, I think Regal’s guys will come out ahead and help give their leader ECW Gold.

Winner: William Regal

Chris Jericho and Big Show vs. MVP and Mark Henry for the Unified Tag Titles

There is no doubt in my mind that I finally have one right. Jericho and Show will definitely win. There is no way in hell that MVP/Henry will leave with the titles. With Jericho and MVP in this one, the match should turn out okay. Hell even with Henry and Show this should be a very entertaining match. I hope it’s half as good as some of Jericho and Show’s matches against Cryme Tyme. If we get a match like any of those matches then we are in for a treat.

Winners: JeriShow
Kofi Kingston vs. The Miz for the United States Title

Here’s another match that I will get right, oh I will. The Miz will finally get his wish and become the new U.S. champion. This match was added at the last minute, I guess replacing the Morrison/Ziggler match. Now that was a match I wanted to see. But my friend, Nick Malone host of Over The Ropes had a very good point about why he thinks their match was scratched. He said that you couldn’t put that match on and keep the belt on Morrison, which then would make Ziggler a three-time loser going for this title. What credibility would Mr. Ziggles have then? And if Ziggler won, then Morrison winning over Rey and holding the title for a week was a joke. I totally agree with Nick on both points, so I can see why they might have scrapped that one. But this U.S. title match should be damn good and I’m looking forward to it. I think these two guys are evenly matched and I look forward to a very fast paced match.

Winner: The Miz

The Great Khali vs. Kane for in a Singapore cane match

Wasn’t their match at Summer Slam enough? Obviously not. I think I look more forward to the Singapore canes than I do watching these two in the ring. Okay to make it short but sweet, Khali wins. Well he should since Kane beat him three weeks ago.

Winner: Khali

Okay I just want to remind all of you that I got all but one right three weeks ago, so tonight when I get two right just remember that I owned Summer Slam. Seriously I will be back with my Raw and Breaking Point thoughts Tuesday or Wednesday, and very quickly let me tell you the rumor regarding Batista. The latest rumor is that Dave will announce that he’s moving to Smackdown. If it’s true that works for me. Also I’m really excited to see Trish hosting Raw it should be a good show.

Come on down. Hey can you tell I’m still on a high from being at last night’s Raw? Oh my God this show was so much fun to attend, my son, his girlfriend and I loved just about everything that we saw. And what wasn’t good was so minor that all the positive things buried them. This was one of the best and most fun Raw’s that I have been too in a while and this time I don’t have to say, “Wow I wish I would have been there.” This time I was so lucky to see it live. Oh where do I begin? I cannot wait to tell you what is was like being at the Price Is Raw.

First let me just say that the crowd went absolutely nuts for John Cena. And this was a crowd that basically booed John Cena out of the building for years and years. Yet last night this guy could do no wrong. Cena without a doubt got the biggest pop of the night. I don’t think I even heard any Cena Sucks chants. This guy ruled the arena, and the close second was The Undertaker. Anytime Taker showed up on a video the crowd popped like crazy. Our local CM Punk got a nice pop as well, but Cena and Taker definitely were the majority of the fan’s favorites. Now with that said, DX was received very well. There were plenty of DX glow sticks, and many many fans wearing DX shirts. And Randy Orton and Chris Jericho really got great heat. This crowd was so alive and into just about everyone that we go. It was just a blast being there.

Things got started with a dark match with Jamie Noble vs. a local guy named Alex Riley. This guy definitely had a good look, and he got a very nice reaction from all of us. This was a pretty good match and it’s always nice to see Noble out there. Then it was time for Superstars. We got two matches for that show. The first was Sheamus vs. Yoshi Tatsu. This was a nice match, nothing special but good. The fans seemed to be in it for the most part. But the second match was just off the charts; it was with The Miz and Jack Swagger vs. Kofi Kingston and Primo. Please try to catch this one. This had so much going on, it was fast paced, it was non-stop action and you had four guys here that just worked their asses off. I’m telling you don’t miss this one; it’s well worth watching. And by the way, I got to see Swagger’s entrance. That’s always a treat for me, and boy did he get a lot of heat and you can tell he just feeds off of it. This match was a definite crowd pleaser.

So things were going well and then it was time for the Price is Raw, and this was a riot. Now we were in the lower level on the camera side exactly to the side of the Titon Tron. Well that got to me immediately. I really didn’t notice that when I bought the tickets, so I was not happy. But we had monitors in front of us so it worked out fine. We really did have great seats because we were right near the edge of the stage and the ring post was like right in front of us. We couldn’t see the stage but Bob Barker would stand toward the front where we could catch a glimpse. We definitely could see Contestant’s Row very well and I got a kick out of Santino so much last night. In fact Jillian and IRS also contributed a lot to the show. And wow Howard Finkle was awesome. It was just like listening to Johnny Olsen back in the day. Hey and let’s not forget the interaction between Barker and Chris Jericho. I was so looking forward to Jericho getting involved with the whole game show thing and I wasn’t disappointed a bit by the way it played out. I got a major kick out of watching these two go at it on the mic and watching Jericho’s facials while Baker was talking to him. There were some funny lines here by Barker and all of this just made the opener that much more fun to watch. And props to the Bella twins who played Barker’s Beauties so dare I say, BEAUTIFULLY? They did everything right. I’ll tell you WWE did a super job in bringing back some nice memories of the Price is Right. And I am happy to say that my theory that when the opening with a host is good the show is usually damn good, and that held true last night. That opener was the beginning of some really good things to come.

And the first match was just the start of some good matches. Chris Jericho won the bid and had a chance to win a lovely trip to Hawaii if he could beat his opponent. This was another of Jericho’s finest moments when he was walking to the ring and checking out what the prize was. For a guy that didn’t want to be bothered he was sure interested in going to Hawaii. I just loved Jericho last night and I loved his match against MVP. This was so much better than their last encounter. Jericho really got the best out of MVP and watching these two in the ring was really a pleasure to see. I didn’t care for their match a few weeks ago, but last nights match was such an improvement. MVP got the win, which I expected because I don’t see MVP and Mark Henry beating Show and Jericho Sunday at Breaking Point. Wow what a great start to Raw.

I couldn’t hear too much of what DX and Bob Barker were saying but I did get the line from Shawn asking Barker how to get DiBiase and Rhodes neutered and spayed. Of course I loved that line. I watched all the backstage segments when I got home and believe me I laughed like it was the first time that I had seen them. Granted the wheel that was used for this segment was cheesy but you can’t have everything and this was still a funny segment. I was baffled how Chris Masters made it into this match with Randy Orton against DX and I can’t say I was thrilled about it, but this was just another fun segment with Barker and DX. The next match was my first complaint of the night. It was Chavo vs. Evan Bourne. Now for the past two weeks this is the match up that I had wanted to see, and right off Bourne got a massive pop and things were looking good. But I guess all good things must come to an end. Unfortunately Hornswoggle came in and squirt gunned Chavo to death. This match could have been something so sweet, but bringing the little guy out was such a mistake. Bourne didn’t even get to use that cool finisher of his, The Shooting Star Press and I think that’s what really pissed me off. And by the way I don’t know what move it was but it definitely looked like Chavo hurt his knee. First I thought it was real, then a work but I believe it was a legit injury. So far I haven’t read anything about Chavo, so maybe he’s just a great actor.

I know there are some that found Cody Rhodes explanation for why he didn’t go after Randy Orton after he RKO’d his father, Dusty rather absurd. But hey I’m a simple woman and I was fine with what Rhodes said. I thought Cody held his own on the mic and I happened to totally like this match against John Cena. I thought this was another very good match. Again some are upset that even with Orton’s interference Cena was able to end things with his Attitude Adjustment on Rhodes. I guess I just saw it as a good match. Ah so Dave Batista is making a special appearance next week to make a special announcement. I think they want us to think that he’s announcing his retirement. I don’t see that happening at all. I think big Dave is going to announce that his return is going to happen sooner than first thought. I think I’m more excited about Trish Stratus hosting than the Batista appearance. But that doesn’t mean that I’m not happy to see Dave on there too, because I am.

Okay so we got another round of bids for the Price Is Raw with A.J. Pierzynski as the next contestant. Well since I am a White Sox fan I was just about the only one in my area cheering for him, which made it a lot of fun for me. This round was good because Santino won and this time if he could body slam his opponent he would win a nice hot tub. The Bella’s showed off the prize and Santino wanted to know if they came with it. It was so nice to have Santino back to what he was months ago before Wrestlemania and Santina. I can’t tell you how much he made me laugh. Okay now this next thing is totally true, really it is. When they said he had to body slam his opponent I turned to my son’s girlfriend, Penny and said it’s going to be the Big Show, and it was. You have no idea how smart that made me feel. It was nice to see how impressed both she and my son were. Of course my ego grew during that time. And once Show slammed Santino I knew Mark Henry was next and I told her that it’s going to be Mark Henry, and again I looked like I really knew my stuff. They should know how horrible I do when it comes to predictions. Okay so after the Big Show slammed Santino, he walked by our section and a few of us yelled out SANTINO. He looked up in our direction and did that embarrassed smile and waved to us, so that was cool.

Now the next part was another downer of the show it was Henry facing Big Show to see who would get slammed first. Again I knew Show would get slammed because as I said in the beginning I don’t see him losing with Jericho on Sunday. I just wish that instead of letting this thing go on as long as it did, that they could have let it go for about 2 minutes, then have Henry slam him. This thing just dragged. It was rather painful. And now it was time for the main event. It has been a long time since I have seen Triple H and Shawn Michaels at an event, so this was like the perfect match for me. Well maybe a perfect match had Chris Masters not been in there. Okay listen in all fairness to Masters I have to give this guy props too for putting on a hell of a match against Evan Bourne during last week’s Superstars. We get the show on Sunday mornings so that’s why it’s taken me this long to mention it, but Masters looked damn good in this match. He showed me a lot and maybe if they could have him talk and do more than the Master lock this guy could add to Raw. So kudos to a very good Superstars match, but still in last night’s main event I wasn’t that happy to have him there. Yet the match did turn out to be a good one and the crowd loved DX and hated Randy Orton. That too is so different from the last time I was there when Orton was getting a ton of cheers.

The match was very entertaining and I loved the ending with DX and Legacy taking it to the back. I thought that all came off well. Now I have one negative to say about Orton and Cena. I watched all of this on TV when I got home but trust me the part where Orton RKO’d Cena on the chair was bad on TV but came off much worse live. When I saw Cena put his arms up I couldn’t believe how pathetic that looked. It really took away from how “dangerous” that all was supposed to turn out. But other than that it was a very good main event.

And things didn’t stop once Raw ended. Cena recovered and along with DX they did the famous what section can cheer the loudest. I have to say this was pretty damn funny. Hunter and Shawn take it all in like it’s the most serious thing ever and Cena was out trying to judge the loudest section. And then he started working a section of the crowd and really this was a lot of fun. They all left the ring shaking hands with the fans. Cena left DX out there and they really went around shaking as many hands as they could. The funniest thing had to be when a little boy I would say about 6 years old ran out and past security. He had his DX glow sticks and ran to Hunter. Hunter put him on his shoulder and then Shawn joined them at the ramp and they did the crotch chops. This kid was just eating it up. When he was done a couple of other kids ran out and I missed this one part. My son said one was by Shawn and there was a policeman standing there. So Shawn pretended to frisk the kid and signaled to the cop that the kid was safe. Jason couldn’t stop laughing and I wish I paid more attention to Shawn, but I was looking at Hunter Okay I admit it. Then once that was done along with Triple H and the other kid they did the crotch chops again. I just had such a great time and I can’t wait to go again.

I’m sorry this is so long but I had so much to share with you. I will return over the weekend with my Breaking Point predictions so start sending yours in any time. Also many of you know that I’m a guest on a radio show on Saturday nights, Over The Ropes. I get to talk to Nick and Mike two really cool guys and they make me feel like I’m more important than Linda McMahon, now that’s big. Well they now have a message board that you can go to. It’s there for all of you wrestling fans and you can ask questions and I know Mike and Nick would be happy to answer them. I know that I will be registering at the following site.

Okay I missed a Raw column this week, but honestly I think I did you all a favor. If I had written one believe me it would have been anything but kind. That show was just miserable. In fact I think it rates right up there with the shows hosted by Jeremy Piven and ZZ Top. Those shows were brutal. So I didn’t put any effort into doing a Raw column, but I couldn’t wait to talk about Smackdown. While I didn’t think this Smackdown was as good as last week’s show it was still very good, and there were a few segments that really came off well, in fact they were outstanding. Smackdown is still out doing Raw even when Raw comes off fairly well. This is the show where wrestling is the showcase and not guest hosts.

If you watched the show, I’m sure right off you know that the segment of the night was CM Punk dressed like Jeff Hardy. Dare I mention how hysterical it was to see some fans jump out of their seats thinking it was the real Hardy? In all fairness I could understand the enthusiasm from the young fans, but it was a riot watching that one woman and kid show so much anger on their face when they saw it was Punk. That alone made this a 5 star segment. But yes, CM the top heel not only on Smackdown but also in my opinion in the company gave one hell of a strong promo. This guy is so on a roll and each week he just proves that Vince did the right thing turning him heel and giving him that World title. I was just in love with this segment and the crowd reaction was excellent. This guy is so over not only in the ring but also with his excellent promos. While Punk did his usual insults aimed at the fans about drinking, smoking and taking pills, he also started up with the Undertaker. The guy looks like he’s already to face the Deadman, which I like a lot because I don’t want to see a Punk that shies away from Taker. Before this was all over Matt Hardy ran into the ring and went after Punk to try to even the score after Punk’s victory sent Jeff packing. This brawl ended a great segment. This is just one of the reasons why I just look so forward to watching Smackdown each week.

Okay so after the brawl Punk was complaining to Theodore Long about what Matt did. And Long decided to make a match between Hardy and Punk. CM was really cool with the match as soon as he found out that it wasn’t for the title. Again CM showed a lot with his facials when Long was talking to him. The first match of the night was Kane and Mike Knox vs. Finlay and Khali. I wasn’t looking forward to this match, but this wasn’t bad at all. However, I have two complaints. One, I wish Finlay would turn heel again. Some of Finlay’s best feuds happened when he was a rotten piece of crap. And two, I think this match could have been just a little shorter, it went on too long for me. But all in all this was a decent match. Well I see Vince McMahon made an appearance on Smackdown. Why? I wish I knew. The whole thing I guess centered around Vince keeping an eye on Theodore Long and oh yeah the pink sports coat that Vince was wearing. Let’s just say this segment really didn’t have to be on.

Oh but wait, it’s the middle school girls, Eve, Maria and Michelle McCool having their usual spat about Dolph Ziggler. This was another segment that I could have done without, but at least this time McCool wasn’t screeching her lines like she did last week. This came to an end when Melina showed up and asked the girls if there was a problem. Michelle looked at Melina and warned her if she touched her she would have her arrested. And if that wasn’t enough drama poor Melina asked Maria about Dolph and Maria told her to mind her own business. I’m so glad we get this soap opera each week, and yes that’s sarcasm. Ah the match of the night was Rey Mysterio defending the IC title against John Morrison. Oh this was just an awesome match with the crowd right in there. I have to say Rey certainly left for his 30-day suspension on a positive note. I couldn’t be happier that Morrison is now the IC champion. I think it shows that McMahon has a lot of faith in this guy and I’m really looking forward to some great moments for the new champ. This was almost 30 minutes long and believe me it was so worth all the time it got. What a great match and again a match that we got free and didn’t have to wait to pay for. So props to Vince and his staff for putting this on Smackdown.

Wow, Drew McIntyre is two for two when it comes to taking R. Truth out the moment Truth hits the ring. Just like last week, McIntyre attacked Truth and cut another good promo. Drew said that he was making an example out of R-Truth last week because he was overlooked. My favorite line was when he said that the dancing fool has a match and he didn’t. He said that every week he’s going to interrupt our fun until he is recognized as the superstar that he is. So far the guy is still appealing to me, and I can’t wait to see him wrestle. As of now I am thinking that this guy is going to be very entertaining in the ring. I’m happy to say that I enjoyed Eve and Maria vs. Layla and Natalya. For a change this one flowed nicely. You know lately the women’s division on Raw has been rather week, so it was nice to see a decent women’s match on Smackdown.

And finally the main event with Matt Hardy vs. CM Hardy, okay Punk was a good match. But I have to be honest with all of you; I was really expecting a lot more action and a faster paced match. I liked the mach a lot, but maybe I was just expecting anything with a Hardy to be full of excitement. Plus in all fairness I don’t think Matt is 100 percent healed from his stomach surgery. But this was still a good main event, with Punk showing is violent side by doing his best to get rid of Matt by putting his head through a chair and then trying to send him into a post. Well that’s when the lights went out and before you could blink, the Undertaker was standing in front of Punk. Taker then choke slammed the champion onto the announce table. Well of course the crowd loved it. So a 1-minute appearance by Taker, gee I hope he can last longer at Breaking Point. Yes again that is sarcasm because I’m not so sure I’m into a Taker/Punk feud because Taker is off so much. But what the hell I will keep an open mind and see how this plays out. This could turn out to be a very important feud for Punk.

So this was a very good Smackdown with a VERY GOOD performance by CM Punk. Now here’s hoping that Monday’s Raw will rock. I will be there with my son Jason and his girlfriend Penny. I am so excited about going and seeing DX, Swagger, Bourne, and so many others. Oh and of course Bob Barker. God only knows what Bob Barker will bring to the show. Hopefully this will be a fun show, but more importantly a very good show. I will have my live thoughts I promise you either Tuesday or Wednesday. I can’t wait to hear from you guys about how the show was live, so please let me know.

What a feud, what a show. Of course I’m talking about Smackdown and the rivalry between CM Punk and Jeff Hardy. As much as I loved Raw and I did, Smackdown really blew me away. I have so many positive things to say about almost everything that we got, with of course just a few minor segments that I didn’t care for. But even the worst parts of Smackdown didn’t add up to very much. Hey let me get right to one spectacular SMACKDOWN! I can’t wait to share my thoughts with all of you.

Of course Smackdown opened up with a bang. We got the very smug CM Punk cutting a hell of a promo. He bashed the pro Hardy crowd like crazy using lines like, “I told you all that I would beat Jeff Hardy at Summer Slam, and in case you are all too intoxicated to remember, let me show you how I did it.” And then there was this line. He said that WWE higher ups are afraid of him because they don’t know what a Straight Edge World Champion is. He said, “I am a pioneer.” He said he’s the role model the world needs because he doesn’t drink, smoke, or abuse prescription medication “like Jeff Hardy. Punk week after week is just proving what so many of his Ring of Honor fans knew and what so many of fans like me knew once WWE started using him consistently, playing a heel is what he does best.

Not only did this guy come off well but also so did his counterpart, Jeff Hardy. Throughout this feud I have loved the way that Hardy has reacted to Punk’s comments. It’s not only with verbal responses, but it’s also with some pretty good facials. Again the interaction between these two was dynamite. Punk continuously got his digs in about Hardy being intoxicated and on painkillers. Of course Jeff Hardy just took it all in. This was so good because both of these guys just played their parts perfectly. I had a feeling after watching this opening that Smackdown was going to be a hot show and yeah I was right. Before this all ended Theodore Long came out and made the cage match official. And the stipulation would be that the loser would have to leave WWE. And the winner would face The Undertaker at Breaking Point for the World Title. So this was a very STRONG opening segment, which lead to the first match of the night. That was Hardy and John Morrison against Tyson Kidd and David Hart Smith.

This was a good match that could have been a fantastic match if this would have gone way past the three-minute mark. I just wish these four had the opportunity to go at least 10-15 minutes because as fans we deserved it. I love watching Kidd and Smith, especially Kidd, and with Morrison and Hardy in there this could have been a hell of a match. Well for the short time this went on it was good and it certainly kept my enthusiasm going for the rest of the show. Now I have to be honest with you, this thing that we get on and off with Melina and Maria talking about Dolph Ziggler is somewhat annoying to me. I think mostly because their acting is so bad, it comes off like two girls in middle school talking about that cute guy in their classroom. I think both women come off unlikeable and I really could do without the drama. So on to more positive things. I know it was just one short appearance but I’m kind of into the way they introduced Drew McIntyre. He was polite enough to let R. Truth get most of his, What’s Up rap in, but right before Truth finished it and entered the ring McIntyre it him hard, or I should say kicked him hard in the head with his boot. And if that’s wasn’t enough he started punching the hell out of Truth and ended it all with a DDT. This was nice work from the new guy. Drew then said that he was sorry to ruin the little party. He introduced himself and said the party is over. This really was a cool way to bring McIntyre in, I was very happy with this segment.

The whole Michelle McCool injury thing does nothing for me. Now I know she did hurt her knee during a house show a few weeks ago, but when she sits at the announce table I cringe when she opens her mouth. She has absolutely no charisma at all, and that little promo that she cut before the women’s match with Melina vs. Layla was like nails on a chalkboard. I guess McCool needs to be seen and NOT heard if they intend to continue to using her. The match between Layla and Melina was good, but right now I am not really interested in the Smackdown women’s division. They need someone with a lot more to offer than McCool as the champion. Okay the next match was with Kane vs. Rey Mysterio. Now we have seen these two go at it on Raw, but I happened to like Friday’s match. Rey and Kane have always seemed to have good chemistry and that continued with this match. Judging by interference from Khali and his brother Runjin Singh I would say we are going to see a rematch between Kane and Khali at Breaking Point. Now their Summer Slam match was enough for me, but I guess Khali could possibly get the win at that pay per view. Okay so Khali and Kane left the arena and all of a sudden Dolph Ziggler came out and attacked Rey. This I liked a lot and I am guessing with Rey being suspended for 30 days starting Wednesday, Ziggler could win that I.C. Title on this week’s Smackdown.

The segment that started out with Shad Gaspard taking on Chris Jericho, but ending as a tag team match with Cryme Tyme vs. Big Show and Jericho was a lot of fun to watch. This was another very good match with these four guys. I really expected Cryme Tyme to win, since they lost at Summer Slam but for some reason, Vince McMahon didn’t see it my way and the win went to Show and Jericho. This program between Cryme Tyme and Jericho/Show has really benefited Shad and JGT, and here’s hoping that they continue to be used a lot on Smackdown, and that they don’t slowly start disappearing week after week. Since it was the last Jeff Hardy show for a while I happened to like the little interaction between Jeff and Matt. It was nice way to get these two back together. But what I really loved was the Cage match with Jeff and Punk. This was one of the best Cage matches that I’ve seen in a while. Without a doubt this match would have been THE match of the night on a pay per view. This was just off the charts and I think most of us knew that Jeff was going to lose but it didn’t matter, because there was just so much excitement going on here. After Punk and Hardy’s outstanding TLC match at Summer Slam these two still managed to put on a five star match on free TV. What a match and what a great show. I have to say that even though Jeff Hardy’s departure was a sure thing, it was still sad to see him go and very sad to watch so many in the arena crying. I thought Jeff’s good-bye was done well and hopefully Jeff will return.

This has been a super week for all of us WWE fans. Summer Slam was outstanding, I loved Raw, ECW came off quite well, and Smackdown was excellent. Now let’s keep this streak going with a solid Raw tomorrow night and Raw’s guest host Dusty Rhodes. I think Dusty could bring a lot to Raw. I will be back with my Raw thoughts on Tuesday or Wednesday, and I’m hoping they will be really happy thoughts. By the way, I am going to the Labor Day Raw, and I am so happy because I just read today that Bob Barker is hosting our show, not Mike Adamle. Ah things are looking up.
