WWE 205 Live Results – 9/5/2017

We get comments from the five participants in the Elimination Match to determine the number one contender for Neville’s title at No Mercy.

We are in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and your announcers are Nigel McGuinness and Vic Joseph.

Ariya Daivari says last week that scrawny TJP cost him his match against Rich Swann so he is going to inflict pain on TJ over and over until he needs the crutches again.

Before the match starts, Rich Swann comes to the ring and he has some popcorn with him as he takes a seat on the announce table.

Match Number One: TJ Perkins versus Ariya Daivari

They lock up and Daivari with punches and kicks in the corner. Daivari with a chop and Perkins goes to the ropes and apron. Perkins brings Daivari over the top rope to the floor. Perkins with a slingshot drop kick to knock Daivari off the apron. Daivari sends Perkins into the turnbuckles and hits a reverse DDT for a near fall. Daivari with a back breaker for a near fall. Daviari stretches Perkins. Perkins with a mule kick to get out of the hold.

Perkins punches Swann but Daivari kicks Perkins. Perkins with a springboard forearm and then he connects with a series of strikes and a kick. Perkins with a suplex and he holds on and hits a belly-to-back suplex and gets a near fall. Daivari with a punch but Perkins gets Daviari on his shoulders for a moment but Daviari escapes and hits a knee to the head and gets a near fall. Daivari kicks Perkins to the floor in front of the announce table and Swann. Daivari sends him back into the ring and goes up top and misses a frog splash.

Perkins with a Detonation Kick for the three count.

Winner: TJ Perkins

After the match, Swann goes into the ring and has some words for Perkins and then he dabs in front of TJ before leaving the ring.

We see footage of last week’s match between Brian Kendrick and Jack Gallagher from last week.

We see Drew Gulak walking in the back and he is handing out pamphlets.

We are back and TJ Perkins will face Rich Swann next week on 205 Live.

Drew says he is here to spread the good word. Drew says he believes in freedom of expression and he is here to talk about a better 205 Live. Through all of his struggles, what has he gotten? What he hasn’t gotten is a shot in the Fatal Five Way to get a shot to face Neville at No Mercy. Drew says he knows what you are thinking. Why is the WWE stifling your great ideas by keeping you out of the title picture. People fear what they cannot understand.

Drew is interrupted by Tozawa’s music

Match Number Two: Drew Gulak versus Akira Tozawa

They lock up and Drew with a side head lock and take down. Drew with a shoulder tackle but Tozawa with an arm drag and drop kick. Gulak backs into the corner. Tozawa with another drop kick but Gulak grabs Tozawa by the ear. Tozawa with a back drop. Gulak with a sunset flip but Tozawa rolls through and kicks Gulak. Gulak rolls away and Tozawa with a baseball slide to send Gulak to the floor. Gulak throws Tozawa off the apron and into the ringside barrier.

Drew sends Tozawa into the apron and then back into the ring. Gulak with kicks to the head. Gulak with a rear chin lock and then he stretches Tozawa. Tozawa gets to the ropes. Gulak with a chop and Tozawa falls into the corner. Gulak chokes Tozawa in the corner and then he kicks Tozawa. Tozawa with shoulders but Gulak with a kick. Gulak ties up Tozawa. Tozawa with punches but Gulak with a knee. Gulak goes for a belly-to-back suplex but Tozawa lands on his feet and he punches Gulak. Tozawa with a rana and then he hits a bicycle kick to knock Drew off the apron.

Tozawa with a suicide dive and then he brings Drew back into the ring to get a near fall. Tozawa blocks a punch and hits a Saito suplex for a near fall. Tozawa goes up top and Gulak gets to his feet and Tozawa jumps over him. Gulak with a rollup for a near fall. Tozawa with a kick to the jaw and then he goes up top for the back senton and hits it for the three count.

Winner: Akira Tozawa

We go to the interview area with Enzo Amore. Enzo says he looks smart but it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that Enzo is 3-0. He is asked if he can measure up to a Neville or Cedric Alexander. Enzo says he hasn’t traveled the world for ten years on the indies and they are in the same place. He is working smarter. He is putting 205 Live on the map. He is locked in for the Cruiserweight Title. Enzo says he is not taking anyone lightly.

Neville interrupts and he asks Enzo if he is amusing and as ridiculous as you look. 205 Live is for serious competitors and serious athletes. Enzo, you are not serious. Neville tells Enzo you have no business entertaining the idea that you belong in the same ring.

Enzo says this isn’t Game of Thrones and he will win the title at No Mercy.

Match Number Three: Enzo Amore versus Tony Nese versus Brian Kendrick versus Cedric Alexander versus Gran Metalik in an Elimination Match to Determine the Number One Contender at No Mercy

Everyone decides to focus on Enzo and Enzo goes to the floor. Metalik rolls up Kendrick for a near fall. Metalik Irish whips Kendrick into Nese and Alexander sends Metalik into Kendrick and Nese for a double drop kick. Alexander with a wrist lock but Metalik with a reversal. Alexander with a leg sweep and Metalik with a handspring over Alexander. Metalik with a head scissors that Alexander lands on his feet for. Metalik with a springboard drop kick. Nese pulls Metalik to the floor.

Enzo pulls Kendrick off the apron as Alexander chops Nese in the ring. Nese with a forearm. Alexander has a kick blocked and Nese with a waist lock. Alexander with an elbow. Nese with a matrix and kicks. Alexander with a handstand head scissors and he gets a near fall. Alexander chops Nese and connects with a European uppercut. Alexander with an enzuigiri but Nese with a gutbuster after catching Alexander off the ropes.

Enzo with a rollup on Nese but Kendrick with a forearm and suplex to the floor. Nese gets a near fall on Enzo. Nese with a neck vice. Nese with a leg drop to Enzo while Kendrick sends Alexander into the ringside barrier. Nese with an Irish whip and backbreaker to Enzo for a near fall. Kendrick with a suplex to Enzo and then he gets a near fall. Nese kicks Enzo and then Kendrick kicks Enzo. Kendrick holds Enzo and Nese with punches. Nese and Kendrick Irish whip Enzo and Enzo with a head scissors to Nese followed by punches to Kendrick and Nese. Enzo with a flatline to Kendrick and then he lines up for a field goal to Nese’s ribs.

Kendrick hits Enzo from behind and then Kendrick and Nese hit super kicks on Enzo. Metalik and Cedric with springboard moves. Alexander with a standing C4 on Metalik and everyone is down. Nese with an uppercut to Alexander on the turnbuckles. Kendrick climbs the turnbuckles and they set for a double superplex on Alexander but Metalik with a sunset flip power bomb double superplex Tower of Doom.

Enzo with a suicide dive but Nese and Kendrick catch Enzo and hot shot him on the announce table. Kendrick with a running boot and Nese with a running knee to Enzo. Nese and Kendrick throw Enzo over the announce table and into the ringside barrier.

Kendrick and Nese have formed an alliance and Kendrick hits Nese from behind. Metalik with a plancha onto Nese and Kendrick. Nese with a running back elbow to Metalik. Nese sends Metalik back into the ring and Nese puts Metalik in the corner to set for the running knee strike. Alexander with Lumbar Check to pin Nese.

Tony Nese Eliminated

Alexander covers Metalik but gets a near fall. Alexander with another near fall. Alexander with a handspring round kick but Metalik goes for the Metalik Driver and Alexander blocks it. Alexander catches Metalik on a handspring move and hits a Lumbar Check to eliminate Metalik

Gran Metalik Eliminated

Kendrick with Sliced Bread for a near fall. Kendrick with the Captain’s Hook but Alexander escapes and gets a near fall with a rollup. Kendrick reapplies the Captain’s Hook and Alexander gets to the ropes but Kendrick does not have to release the hold. Kendrick falls to the floor and so does Alexander. Alexander drops Kendrick on the apron and hits Lumber Check on Kendrick to elminate him.

Brian Kendrick Eliminated

Enzo returns to the ring and rolls up Alexander with a handful of tights for the three count.

Cedric Alexander Eliminated

Winner: Enzo Amore
