- WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz spoke with WWE.com after retaining his title at Night of Champions. Miz announced earlier in the night that he would be filing a formal complaint against Booker T. Miz said he will no longer be filing the complaint because he defeated three main event Superstars blind-folded and he’s happy with that. Miz dubbed himself the must most-see Intercontinental Champion of all-time.
- PWInsider reports that there has been no talk within WWE of Jerry Lawler not returning to commentary but there has been talk of him never wrestling again. While doctors told Lawler that he could get in the ring if he wanted to, doctors are not advising it for his longterm health.
On a related note, they add that Vince McMahon told Lawler to do what he needs to do so he can get better and that his commentary job is safe. Vince was said to be shaken up and very concerned over the whole situation with Lawler’s health.
Kenny…not sure if ya noticed…but it’s entertainment, they way things happen in the storyline very rarely reflect anything going on in real life. Lawler gets picked on on TV because it gets the fans worked up fast, he’s a well respected legend who’s been on our TV nearly every week for years, they know targeting him will get to the viewers. That has nothing at all to do with Vince’s real life relationship with Jerry. Do you think all that junk that went down w Austin and McMahon in the Attitude Era was reflecting how they really felt about each other? Hell no.
I agree with vinnydictive on this one…i mean its all an act…all those superstars in the back are like one big happy family when one is hurt it concerns the whole entire lockerroom…Vince and Lawler are pretty close so…I mean Lawler has been with the company since the ealry to mid 90s so Im sure He and Vince are pretty close and have that buddy buddy relationship..almost like brothers..quit buying too much into this…all those guys ride together go drink together its all one big family system in the wwe
