- John Cena was interviewed by Steven Muehlhausen of The Fight Club Chicago pro wrestling/MMA radio show at the Chicago Comic-Con last week. Cena was asked about the Rock’s return at The Royal Rumble to face whomever the WWE Champion is.
“I think about Wrestlemania every single day, whether is for the WWE Championship or not,” Cena admitted. “I would like another shot to face The Rock.”
I really hope this isn’t leading where I think it is, which is the Rock jobs to Cena at next year’s Wrestlemania.
I was surprised they ever brought the Rock back and had him beat Super-Cena, but if they have a rematch just to establish Cena as the Rock’s equal, then screw that.
The conspiracy part of me even thinks that the whole “the Rock is the greatest superstar of all time” speech that happens every time he appears or is mentioned, is only being used so that when Cena beats him, guys like King can say “If the Rock is the best ever, and Cena beat him, than Cena is now the best ever!”
