Date: Feb 22, 2012 at 3:24 pmive been goin on this site for years and im finally making my first comment, i was watchin mike and mike in the morning or espn 2 this morning and they confirmed the shaq will wrestle the big show at wrestlemania 28. and everything they say on that show is truthful so, wwe is just covering it up til its announced on the raw or smackdown. the match, will happen.

Date: Feb 22, 2012 at 6:12 pmI hope that shaq doesn’t wrestle at wrestlemania. Getting tired of seeing stars from other sports getting in the ring and beating the wwe superstars. It’s ridiculous and just plain stupid period. It’s happened to the big show twice now, 1st to akebono at wrestlemania 21 and to floyd mayweather at wrestlemania 24. I think thet need to quit embarassing the big show and let him face hopefully cody rhodes for the intercontiental title at wrestlemania. I would love to see him win the intercontiental title for the 1st time.

Date: Feb 22, 2012 at 7:30 pmI reeaallly don’t want to see Shaq @ ‘Mania either, that would be ridiculous, I understand their logic behind it, trying to get peoples who don’t normally watch to maybe tune in for Shaq, but they should be more concerned with pleasing the true wrestling fans who pay for WrestleMania every year, along with multiple other PPVs. That match would simply suck. Put him up against Mark Henry again if you have to, or even The Not So Great Khali, but I kinda hope they do Cody Rhodes vs Goldust personally.

Date: Feb 22, 2012 at 10:54 pmSo there is a common theme happening here. Fans apparently dont like celebrity WM matches. Well I agree..
WWE spends money bringing in these celebrities, when they could be using it to bring in better talent in ring or use it to pay another of their own performers.
I get that it cross promotes brands, but if these celebs bury existing talents each year, then WWE are only hurting there own brand and talent.

Date: Feb 22, 2012 at 11:00 pmI think Big Show vs Jack Swagger for the US Championship sounds great! Unfortunately for apparently all of us…it’ll probably happen, the WWE loves their celebrities and Shaq’s the only one that’s been even rumored really…they won’t just not have a celeb at WM, so we’ll probably have to suffer through what they’ll try so hard to make out to be a great WrestleMania moment, but will in fact blow severely painful chunks.

Date: Feb 23, 2012 at 9:29 amI am ok with this, and this is why. Wrestlemania has ALWAYS involved celebrities, look at the first main event. Wrestlemania built a legacy behind always having a celebrity appear on the grandest stage. It is smart business, Wrestlemania 1 was partially built around Mr. T, and look how successful that was. Fact is celebrities are a huge part of Mania. Also, having legends on the show makes sense also, being these legends helped mold Mania. True fans would recognize this. If it wasnt for past celebrities and legends, there would be no Mania for you all to bitch about today…

Date: Feb 23, 2012 at 10:42 amso we aren’t “true fans” because we’d rather see an actual match than this joke? i personally don’t care if they “used to” use celebrities back in the day, there’s a lot that’s changed since then if you haven’t notice, and i think that’s another thing that should. snookie, bob barker, shaq, mr t…whoever…i don’t care, they don’t belong there, and when they show up it’s always nothing less than a ridiculous segment.

Date: Feb 23, 2012 at 4:59 pmBut yet, we all still watch. If you dont like it then do not watch it, otherwise why complain?

Date: Feb 23, 2012 at 6:35 pmof course we still watch, why would we stop watching wrestling because of a few occasional unwanted celebrities? why complain? because we can. why would lifelong fans NOT voice their opinions in a comment section? it’s not like we’re really complaining anyhow as much as we are discussing. honestly though, nothing about shaq wrestling sounds entertaining at all.
