Buried Alive Match at Survivor Series?, Nexus Update, More

– Regarding WWE’s overall reaction to less than stellar television ratings in recent weeks, many are not worried. However, a number of people are butting heads over the company’s creative direction through the end of the year, as well as what to do with certain characters.

– While nobody expects Nexus to be disbanded, it has been noted that the faction’s merchandise sales have been poor. WWE officials expected the group to get over as anti-heroes, but its merchandise has failed to significantly move.

– WWE has discussed tying the 20th anniversary of the debut of The Undertaker character with November’s Survivor Series. One of the ideas being discussed is a Buried Alive Match between The Undertaker and Kane. There has been talk of it being Undertaker’s final run with the company and they wanted him to conclude his career with his longtime manager, Paul Bearer, by his side.

I think a buried alive match should be the final confrontation between Kane and Undertaker. So Undertaker would have to win Hell in a Cell in order for their current feud to have a rubber match… I don’t like the idea of it being his final match though. He should retire at Wrestlemania

i hope they make the hell in a cell match between the undertaker and kane exciting. make someone fall from the top of the cage or something.. their match at night of champions bored me to death.

I think it stinks that WWE are pushing Taker to end his career.
Fact- Taker has busted his arse for 20+ years solely for WWE, plus several years before that. And he continues to do so to this very day.
It should be Mark Caloway, the man behind the character that decides when its his time to retire.
    Not the company.

I think the Buried Alive gimmick is played out like Casket Matches. I wish Inferno matches would come back but after MVP got burned, WWE did away with that. No more Taker and Kane matches its time 2 end this now..Its getting Played Out

  • The Fulken

How many Buried Alive matches have WWE done over the years dude? 4 at best and your saying their played out like the Casket Match which has been done numerous times? Really? The Inferno match ain’t around no more because they are boring. You have to do everything in the ring and that limits certain people. Not because MVP got burned. He lose the match and that’s what happens when you lose an Inferno Match. Kane and Undertaker haven’t feuded as long as many others in WWE. This is their first feud in 7 years compared to seeing Orton vs. Cena, Edge vs. Cena, Triple H vs. everyone, etc. Their feud so far has been good because Kane has been getting the upper hand more then Taker in recent years and actually scored a pin fall of Undertaker on pay per view. Something Kane has never done in the past. The Hell in a Cell match is a dream gimmick match fans have been wanting to see for years…

As far as Undertaker retiring… The man is banged up from his hip to his knees. WWE wouldn’t retire Undertaker unless Taker felt it was time. Undertaker has been my favorite wrestler since he entered the WWE. It sucks to know that his time is very limited now due to his injuries but I rather see him walking away then being wheeled out on a fucking stretch and not able to move again. That’s why Austin retired early.

I agree. Undertaker.s time is up. I hate to see him go but he doesn.t need to sacrifice his body anymore. He has got everybodys respect. What else does he need to do? R.I.1.P.

I unfortunately agree. DAMN I hate to say that, but I have to as a true fan. If Taker wants to retire, then so beit, but so long as he retires on two feet, I’d be sadly satisfied. At least then he could come back and dominate a match. Unlike Rowdy Roddy Piper, or Sgt Slaughter. Taker could at least maintain his legacy!
