Update on SmackDown’s Move, WWE Blu-ray Release, Maria

– WWE’s upcoming DVD, the Best PPV Matches of 2009-2010, will be released in Blu-ray format on July 20th, 2010.

– At one point yesterday, former WWE Diva Maria’s new album Sevin Sins was #16 on the i-Tunes New Releases chart. The $3.99 release comes with four songs.

– The New York Times reports that WWE SmackDown’s move to the SyFy network is a two-year deal with an option for a third year. WWE will still have some exposure on broadcast TV with occasional specials on NBC. Dave Meltzer reports that SyFy is actually paying $35 million for SmackDown.
