WWE’s SmackDown TV Show Moving to Cable TV – Details

– The Los Angeles Times reports that WWE will be moving Friday Night SmackDown from MyNetworkTV to SyFy this October. An official announcement is scheduled for later this week.

The Times notes that it’s believed SyFy is paying $30 million for SmackDown to air on it’s network. WWE has had rights to shop SmackDown to anywhere on network TV but could only move the show to a cable station owned by NBC-Universal.
