– As previously reported, cashed in his briefcase at Tuesday’s WWE SmackDown tapings to capture the World Heavyweight championship. Jericho had just brawled with in the opening segment of the show and it was revealed that Jericho’s ribs were injured and still taped up from . Swagger’s music hit and he powerbombed Jericho for a quick win.

WWE Hall of Famer posted a message on Twitter responding to a fan who asked him about Swagger’s World Heavyweight title win.

Austin sees potential in Jack Swagger, but questions if he’s got the experience to justify being a World Heavyweight champion. Austin wrote: “sounds too soon to me. the kid does have a bright future though.”

    well for one he is not the first ever world heavyweight champion and for 2 swagger just got to much ass kissing to vince to get the title it was either morrisons or kingstons turn with the title

    honestly i think they shouldv gave it to shelton, or christian, and it really wasnt his time i mean look how many times he failed to win the US title! and now were suposd to believe that 3 months later hes at the level to defend the WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP!? nah defentlly christian, shelton, or kofi who shouldv won sunday, sagger aint ready

    I understand the storyline they hav tried to give Swagger a push to see how it goes and then Edge or Jericho with murder the lispy twat the MITB shud ov gone to Benjamin, Kingston or maybe its Kane’s time to get sometime in the spotlight. In my opinion WWE is going to lose all thee superstars to TNA if the carry on like this, I mean Matt Hardy is an inch of jumping ship !

    well yeah swagger is probably gunna be a transistional champion like kane was and like sheamus is. i dont see him winning it anymore after he loses it. unless they r trying to push him as the next kurt angle. then he will still suck.
