- In an Associated Press piece on the million purchase buyrate for Floyd Mayweather vs. Juan Manuel Marquez, HBO Sports’ Ross Greenburg credits WWE for raising Mayweather’s profile and sparking the big buyrate.

““You have to give some credit to Juan Manuel Marquez’s Hispanic fan base, but beyond that, Floyd Mayweather has established himself as a star in the sport. All his work with ‘Dancing With the Stars’ and the WWE and (HBO reality show) ‘24/7′ has established an image that Floyd projects and that people are interested in,” said Greenburg.

With a million buys, the boxing match handily outdrew UFC 103 in the head-to-head matchup last weekend.

- It would appear that Dwayne Johnson is looking to be credited as “The Rock” again. After dropping the moniker a few years ago, the former WWE Champion Johnson is being billed as ‘Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’ in the trailer for the new animated film Planet 51.
