- Noting the numerous high-profile WWE names absent from the WWE SummerSlam card, Jim Ross teased surprise appearances on the pay-per-view tonight.

“Many young talents who have been doing well lately (Morison, Harts, Kofi, etc) are not officially on the card,” wrote Ross on jrsbarbq.com. “Could that mean that some will make surprise cameos or even larger roles?”

He also expressed excitement about Shawn Michaels’ in-ring return and hinted at a “spectacular presentation” for DX.
