Updated Backstage News on The Brian Kendrick’s WWE Release

- The decision to release Brian Kendrick was made two weeks ago after he was pulled from a planned program with Evan Bourne. Kendrick had been warned several times that WWE wasn’t going to tolerate his failing multiple drug tests for marijuana. His marijuana use was likely a contributing factor to his release and he was one of at least 2 Superstars who had their pushes stopped due to pot use. Kendrick’s release was also meant and taken as a warning for higher profile talents who have been failing pot tests.

However, when John Laurinaitis informed Kendrick he was being let go, the story was that it was because of the economy. Those who heard that story couldn’t believe they gave him such a lame and bogus reason for being fired. Kendrick was told that his release could have happened much sooner but agent Pat Patterson had spoken up for him.

   Wait a minute. Didn’t Kendrick marry Taylor Methany last August? Most chicks won’t tolerate that kind of BS from their men unless they too are hitting the Buddah. Ok, most people have “experimented” with pot when they were in their teens, or even perhaps later. Some may even have gotten a bit attached to the mind-numbing, apathy inducer; but getting popped 12 times in your 30’s and ending a potentially lucrative career in the professional wrestling biz? That’s just pathetic. Is anybody that lacking in spine? Something tells me this guy WANTED out. Whatever happened to just walking up to your employer and saying, “Hey! Take this job and shove it up your a–?” It’s a hell of a lot cheaper, better for your lungs, and won’t make you fat or cause the growth of man tits in your 40’s! Pot (and juice) is for pussies!
