- As noted earlier, the commercial-free idea for WWE Monday Night RAW two weeks ago was not a idea and was something USA Network had been wanting to do. The network was feeling the pressure from TNT’s big ratings in May from the NBA Playoffs and were afraid they would lose the second quarter ratings (April through June). It turns out USA ended up averaging 3.17 million viewers in prime time to 2.64 million for TNT, so the commercial-free show didn’t end up making much of a difference despite the strong ratings it pulled in.

- LoHud.com has an article up at this link with WWE’s ECW Champion discussing how his wrestling character really is him. Dreamer, real name Tom Laughlin, added, “ isn’t a big gimmick. It’s the real deal. I think my fans can relate to me because I’m the guy next door, I’m the guy who had to work his way up.”

- Hacksaw Jim Duggan has a new blog on the WWE Universe site where he talks about some stories from his career and teases that he is writing a book. Hacksaw wrote: Now I am back with the WWE and I could not be prouder. Though I have not been in the ring in three months, I still stay in shape because I know the call could come. As the song goes, ” I may not be as good as I once was, but I’m as good once as I ever was”, and I know if given a shot, anything can happen. Knowing my time in the ring is coming to an end, I have never been more motivated in my life.
