Some news and notes coming out of tonight’s WWE The Bash pay-per-view…

- Your new WWE Women’s Champion is Michelle McCool. She is the first Diva ever to hold the WWE Divas and WWE Women’s Championships.

- Rey Mysterio held onto his mask and won the WWE Intercontinental Title tonight after defeating Chris Jericho in a great match.

- Chris Jericho and Edge captured the WWE Unified Tag Team Titles after Teddy Long put them in the Colons vs. Legacy match. Vince McMahon told Teddy earlier that he needed to shake things up, and that’s just what he did. This should make for some interesting tag team matches and hopefully we will get to see Edge and Jericho on all three brands now.

- Kane made his return to WWE action tonight. The Big Red Machine interfered in the Dolph Ziggler vs. The Great Khali match, costing Khali the match after a bunch of chairshots.

- The dark match before tonight’s pay-per-view at the ARCO Arena in Sacramento, California saw R-Truth defeat Shelton Benjamin in a three minute match.
