Update on Ric Flair & RAW, Former WWE Star Backstage at RAW and More

– WWE will be making its much anticipated return to the Verizon Center in Washington D.C. for a Monday Night RAW taping on July 27th. Locally, the advertised main event has John Cena teaming up with Triple H to take on Randy Orton and Big Show.

– Last week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown scored a 1.8 broadcast rating.

– WWE’s Judgment Day 2009 is released on DVD today. The lone bonus feature has Josh Matthews interviewing Chris Jericho following his Intercontinental Championship match with Rey Mysterio.

– Former WWE Superstar Shannon Moore noted on his Twitter page that he was at last night’s RAW in Charlotte, NC. Shannon is from here in North Carolina.

– A lot of people in WWE were shocked that Ric Flair didn’t appear at RAW last night in his hometown of Charlotte. WWE likely didn’t use him last night to continue the angle where Randy Orton punt kicked him on RAW a few weeks back. It wouldn’t make much sense bringing Flair back so soon when Triple H and others have been out longer from the same move.

RIC FLAIR is the icon of wrestling. Let’s hope WWE gives him the respect he truly deserves and stops using him as randy orton’s punching bag!~ In Flair’s heyday-little randy orton wouldn’t stand a chance, better yet-randy orton doesn’t stand a wrestling chance against the Nature Boy Ric Flair right now.
