Update on Umaga’s WWE Release, WWE Speaks on Wellness Violations

- As noted earlier, word is that quit WWE but that’s not confirmed. People close to him are saying he says he quit also. The decision to release was one made within the last week or so but we still don’t know the real reason for his departure.

It’s interesting to note that is turning down independent bookings right now.

- As noted earlier, it’s believed that WWE talents have failed Wellness tests recently which may have led to some releases and absences. However, if that’s the case then WWE hasn’t announced any of the Wellness violations.

The Sun reports today that a WWE spokesperson told SunSport that there has been no reversal in their policy of publicly announcing talent suspensions, a practice that started in July of 2008.

The spokesperson told The Sun: “WWE continues to publicly announce performers who have been suspended due to contravention of the Talent Wellness Program.”
