– Apparently WWE has made the decision to ban mentioning the names of referees on TV programming.
– WWE’s Legends of WrestleMania video game reportedly sold 86,484 copies in its first week of being out, putting it at #8 on the charts. In comparison, the first week of SmackDown vs. RAW 2009 saw about double that number in sales while the first week of TNA’s iMPACT game sold about 34,000 copies.
– Here’s an update to the story from a few weeks back of WWE starting a rumor in the UK for WrestleMania hype that Hornswoggle was dating Stacy Keibler. When Hornswoggle found out that the WWE PR people were doing the story, he said if it was true he would put out his own press release. WWE actually told one reporter in the UK that the two were even staying in the same hotel room in Houston that week. As far as we know Stacy wasn’t even in Houston that week. Every media outlet WWE tried to push the story to but one either checked up on it and found it to be fake or didn’t even care. Believe it or not, the Daily Star in the UK did write that Hornswoggle was Stacy’s new boyfriend in their April 20th paper and reported that Keibler would return at “WrestleMania tonight.” They quoted a WWE source as saying, “We’re assured it is not a joke, but to say it surprised everyone here would be an understatement.” They also said WWE had lured Stacy back for the WrestleMania battle royal. This was in the 4/20 paper and obviously WrestleMania happened weeks ago.
