ECW Championship Contender To Be Determined, Kelly-WWE Update, More

– Bill Behrens reports that former WWE announcer Kevin Kelly will not be returning to WWE to host the Superstars show, as advertised by DirecTV in a new ad for the program. Kelly himself told Behrens that it’s probably an old preview DirecTV found as he used to host the old version of Superstars.

– ECW’s “Elimination Chase to Backlash” began on last night’s show. New General Manager Tiffany announced that Mark Henry, Christian Cage, Tommy Dreamer and Finlay would compete in a series of elimination matches to determine the #1 contender and challenger for Jack Swagger at Backlash. The four stars wrestled in a Fatal Fourway last night with Finlay eliminating Mark Henry from the competition. Next week’s ECW will feature Finlay vs. Christian vs. Dreamer in a three-way. The following week on ECW, the final two stars will compete in a singles match with the winner facing Swagger at Backlash.

– ECW’s Mark Henry will be appearing for the Ohio Valley Wrestling promotion on Wednesday, April 29th from 4-6pm at the Davis Arena in Louisville, KY.
