Stone Cold Joins Mickey Rourke in New Film, Lawler Wrestling, More

– WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler wrestled Sid Vicious again on February 28th in Memphis for Cory Maclin’s promotion at the Minglewood Hall. They did an angle where Sid told the fans he would pay back their admission price is Lawler defeated him. Sid pinned Lawler after hitting him with a chain that was passed in by his manager Buzz. Lawler also wrestled one of his most famous rivals, Bill Dundee, for an NWA show in Princeton, KY on March 7th, drawing 1,300 fans.

– Josh from DudesBestFriend.com sent word that Steve Austin has joined the cast of Sylvester Stallone’s The Expendables. Austin joins a cast that already includes Mickey Rourke as well as Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Forest Whitaker and Charisma Carpenter. The film is about a team of mercenaries who attempt to overthrow a South American dictator.

– WWE’s Friday Night SmackDown is off the air in Burlington, Vermont as the MyNetworkTV affiliate has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
