- WWE has released the early buyrate estimates for the 2009 pay-per-view and the number doesn’t look good. Early numbers have the show doing 445,000 buys with 40% of those coming from outside of the United States. This year’s number is down from the 575,000 that the 2008 drew.

- Seeing how RAW is live from San Antonio, Texas next week, it’s expected that WWE will be announcing the Von Erich family as members of the 2009 Hall of Fame class.

- While it’s no secret is engaged to be married, and he even said so in an interview last week, the former WWE Champion appeared on Univision’s Despierta America the other day and let the ladies know that he is “always looking.”

- Dwayne “” Johnson spoke with Moviefone.com recently and was asked when the last time he performed The People’s Elbow was. replied with this:

“There was a considerable amount of alcohol involved … [Laughs] No, honestly the last time I did that was in Madison Square Garden five years ago. I’ve retired — that was my very last match. What a perfect place to end my career, in Madison Square Garden. I had the best time within that five or six year period, creating that character. There’s nothing like performing in front of a live audience and the energy and adrenaline rush that I got. Being in that world provided me with really invaluable experience in terms of entertaining an audience.”
