Former WWF Women’s Champion at Mania 25, Afa Sr. Update

– As noted last week, WWE cut Hall of Famer Afa Sr. last week due to budgetary reasons. Afa had been working for WWE in something like a consultant’s role when it came to suggesting talent. WWE’s John Laurinaitis is still scheduled to attend a training camp in June at Afa’s school in Florida, so the association with WWE will remain.

– Besides the names we’ve already posted, WWE has contacted a number of former Divas for the Battle Royal at 25. One of the most interesting names they’ve got in touch with is former WWF Women’s Champion Wendi Richter. Richter hasn’t worked for WWE since they scewjobbed her on the way to losing the belt to Fabulous Moolah in 1985.
