Flair/WWE Plans, Note on Orton’s IED Angle, Edge, More

– Ric Flair was scheduled to work ten dates for WWE including several RAW tapings as well as some non-TV promotional dates, ending with an appearance at WrestleMania 25. Flair is going to be appearing at one day of the AXXESS event in Houston, the Hall of Fame with Ricky Steamboat and likely involved in some form with the Chris Jericho match at WrestleMania.

– It will be interesting to see if WWE continues with the Randy Orton IED angle after the case of a man in Illinois with intermittent explosive disorder committing a crime similar to Chris Benoit has received national coverage. Richard Wiley shot his wife, his son and then himself on March 2nd.

– As noted yesterday, Edge isn’t being listed on the post-WrestleMania tour of Europe. Shawn Michaels also isn’t listed for the tour right now. However, Edge is listed for SmackDown events in May internationally, so him not being listed for the European tour may just be him taking two weeks off to sell an angle or something rather than a brand change. It’s still too early for anything to be concrete but I should have noted yesterday that Edge taking more than just a few weeks off to sell something is highly unlikely considering he just took time off last year.
