Update on This Week’s RAW, The Marine 2 News, More

– Devin Cutting sent the following: WWE is scheduled to return to Mexico at Arena Monterrey in Monterrey on May 28th, 2009 and the Sports Palace in Mexico City on May 30th, 2009. Tickets for both events go on sale March 2nd, 2009 at 11 AM.

– During yesterday’s quarterly conference call, WWE said the much anticipated sequel to The Marine, The Marine 2, will be released early next year. As expected, the movie starring RAW Superstar , Jr. will be a straight-to-DVD release.

– WWE released a statement touting Monday’s strong RAW rating as it was the most-watched episode in two years. As noted before, Monday’s RAW drew a 4.1 cable rating with 6,031,000 total viewers – up 32,000 from the previous week.

Overall, RAW was the most-watched cable program of the night, with more Males watching the show than both NCAA men’s basketball games combined, The O’Reilly Factor and Hannity combined, plus The Big Bang Theory, New Adventures of Old Christine, Heroes, How I Met Your Mother, Chuck and Medium. RAW was also the No. 1 show among male teens ages 12 to 17, topping House, Heroes, 24, Two and a Half Men and CSI: Miami. Plus, more viewers watched RAW than the entire Monday night primetime line-ups of MTV and FX combined.
