WWE Pay-Per-View Buys from 2008 Down the Previous Year

- Here are the four WWE pay-per-views reported on in WWE’s financial results today from the fourth quarter of 2008. As you can see, all of the shows were down from the previous year. Just because pay-per-view buys are down doesn’t mean the shows aren’t making a profit for WWE, because they are. Still the decline in buys is a reason for WWE to be concerned.
* WWE No Mercy 2008: 261,000 buys – down from 271,000 in 2007
* WWE Cyber Sunday 2008: 153,000 buys – down from 194,000 in 2007
* WWE Survivor Series 2008: 319,000 buys – down from 341,000 in 2007
* WWE Armageddon 2008: 193,000 buys – down from 237,000 in 2007
