Matt Hardy Update, WWE Encyclopedia Notes, SmackDown, More
- 1,700 fans attended the NWA Mid-Atlantic show in Cheraw, SC on Sunday as Ric Flair managed Ricky Morton and David Flair to a win over Ricky Nelson and Buff Bagwell. Morton replaced Reid Flair, who was announced as being injured.
- WWE Intercontinental Champion CM Punk will be at Wal-Mart in Chicago, IL on Thursday, March 19th from 6-8 PM to sign copies of the new WWE Encyclopedia. On that same day, WWE Divas Candice Michelle, Eve Torres and Maria will be in Torrance, CA at Borders Books from 6-8 PM, also signing the WWE Encyclopedia.
- Cliff sent word that the episode of WWE’s Friday Night SmackDown on Friday, March 13th will be the show’s 500th episode. Surely WWE will have something big planned for that show.
- Matt Hardy is back with another in-character blog on the WWE Universe site. Here’s what he had to say this time:
As most of you know, I have challenged Jeff Hardy to a one on one match for Smackdown this week, on Friday, February 27th. If Jeff Hardy has any courage, if he is truly a man-he will step into the ring with me on Smackdown and we can settle this once and for all. Let me prove to everyone what they have known all along, even if they refused to admit it.. When it comes down to Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy, I am the superior performer and wrestler. Period. I’ll make this statement into a fact on Friday-if you’re enough of a man to show up Jeff. This will be a Smackdown that you do not want to miss, I can promise you that.
