Update on WWE’s Macho Man DVD, WWE Signs Bambikiller, More

- As reported last week, World Wrestling Entertainment has plans to release a three-disc DVD set on “Macho Man” on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 entitled Macho Madness: The Ultimate Collection. As expected, several fans are skeptical of WWE releasing a DVD on Savage considering pulled the plug on the project once before, but the company is legitimately going through with the release. Internally, the feeling is with the state of the economy that this isn’t the time to kill projects they believe will make significant money, especially for petty reasons such as McMahon’s personal feelings towards Savage. In other sign indicating the company’s change of heart towards Savage, he is featured on the cover of the Best of Saturday Night’s Main Event DVD released this week.

- An Austrian wrestler by the name Chris Raaber, also known as Chris “The Bambikiller”, is telling people he has signed a contract with World Wrestling Entertainment. His signing has yet to be confirmed by company sources. Raaber has mostly worked in Japan and Europe, but trained under wrestling legend Dory Funk in Florida. He is a big, muscular wrestler as Raaber bills himself at 6′ 4″ and 246 pounds.

- WWE World Heavyweight Champion is currently featured in magazine ads for Ultimate Nutrition, a bodybuilding supplement company. The ads can be found in assorted bodybuilding magazines and MMA magazines.
