Big Update on WWE’s Legends of WrestleMania Game, WWE Mag

– The latest issue of WWE Magazine comes in three different collectible covers featuring , and . The issue is a big plug for 25.

– WWE.com has posted a photo gallery displaying character models of some of the legends that will be featured in the upcoming Legends of WrestleMania video game. WWE.com has posted photos of the characters confirmed by IGN.com on Friday including , Andre the Giant, Bobby Heenan, , The Iron Sheik, Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake, Big John Studd, Junkyard Dog, Bam Bam Bigelow, Sgt. Slaughter and Dusty Rhodes. They also posted a photo of Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka, who IGN did not announce on Friday.

Confirming two more playable legends in the game, screenshots have been released featuring vs. “Stone Cold” .

Additionally, the latest issue of WWE Magazine features a one page advertisement promoting the game with Bret “The Hitman” Hart, Jake “The Snake” Roberts, Mr. Fuji and Jimmy Hart (featured on the game’s artwork) featured in the ad. In one of the screenshots in the ad, Roberts’ python is wrapping itself a wrestler who appears to be , so it looks like the young Raw star will be featured in the game.

As reported this past Friday, the WWE site posted a synopsis for next month’s slate of programming on WWE 24/7 with the theme being “Legends of WrestleMania.” The “Shorties” section will feature classic WrestleMania matches players will be able to relive in the game. The synopsis specially noted the following matches: Hulk Hogan vs. the (WrestleMania VI), The vs. Jake “The Snake” Roberts (WrestleMania XIII), and Mr. Perfect vs. Big Boss Man (WrestleMania VII). “Million Dollar Man” will be presenting the matches, which should confirm his appearance in the game.

In an update on this, WWE.com has removed the portion of the synopsis regarding the matches to be featured in the “Shorties” section during the month of March. It now only says DiBiase will be presenting them.

In a follow-up on Ultimate Warrior, IGN uses his theme music in their video introducing the characters in the game.
