Santino’s New Rumble Record, Tonight’s RAW/ECW Tapings, More

– Jeff Hardy and Edge are booked in steel cage matches for the WWE Title at SmackDown live events in February.

– Santino Marella now holds the record for shortest time in the ring for the Royal Rumble match after being eliminated after just over one second. The Warlord lasted two seconds in 1989 and in 1995, Sir Mo and the late Owen Hart only lasted three seconds.

– WWE will tape tomorrow’s ECW on Sci-Fi and shoot tonight’s RAW from the Wolstein Center in Cleveland, Ohio. Besides all the fallout from the Royal Rumble and the Road to WrestleMania, the storyline with Randy Orton and the McMahons should further. They teased last night at the Rumble that Orton would be facing some kind of storyline legal repercussions on tonight’s show. The three-time Women’s Champion Melina should be in the house and it’s possible we will get a World Tag Team Title match as Cryme Tyme earned a title shot last week against The Miz and John Morrison. WWE has also promised the “world premiere” of the new movie 12 Rounds starring John Cena, likely the trailer that has already been released. Still advertised locally for tonight’s show is Chris Jericho vs. John Cena for the World Title.
