Jericho Update, WWE Diva in a Wreck, Hardy Misses Show, More

– As reported earlier, Batista and former WWE & ECW Champion Rob Van Dam will both be in the film The Wrong Side of the Tracks Part I. The movie will be filmed in Baton Rouge, La., from Feb. 3 through Feb. 24. However, representatives of Batista are saying on his official website that there is only offer on the table for him to do the film, and nothing has been committed at this stage or approved by WWE. His representatives also refute rumors that Batista asked for time off months ago.

– Jeff Hardy was originally scheduled to appear at the World Of Wheels Custom Auto event in Shreveport, Louisiana last night, but was unable to for reasons unknown. WWE replaced him with United States Champion Shelton Benjamin. TNA Superstar Scott Steiner was also in attendance at the event.

– Chris Jericho was advertised to wrestle John Cena at Raw brand house shows this weekend, but is apparently off them following his “firing” on Monday’s Raw. Randy Orton took his place at last night’s house show in Oshkosh, Wisconsin in a losing effort to Cena.

– Jim Ross noted in his most recent blog that WWE Diva Mickie James and WWE Hall of Famer Gerald Brisco were involved in separate car accidents Monday night after Raw while they were heading to Omaha, Nebraska. “Black ice was the culprit and both individuals escaped serious injury on the treacherous roads during frigid weather,” Ross wrote.
