– The Journal Pioneer’s website noted that WWE Superstar Chris Jericho was honored with the Distinguished Alumni Award from Winnipeg’s Red River College, where he graduated in 1990. In accepting the honor, Jericho noted that the university’s communications program, “was a perfect class to take….It gave me a chance to get confidence on camera.”

– John Bradshaw Layfield will be featured on the May 2009 cover of Muscle and Fitness magazine, discussing his weight loss and Layfield Energy Drinks.

– The latest Steve Austin film project “Damage,” which is not a WWE Studios film, is officially in post-production and is expected to be released next year. Laura Vandervoot of “Smallville” fame played the female lead opposite Austin, who plays a former criminal that ends up involved in an illegal fighting ring. Austin has another film project about ready to go as well.
