Tonight’s WWE TV Tapings, Deuce’s New Gimmick, More News

– WWE will tape tonight’s ECW on Sci-Fi and this week’s Friday Night SmackDown tonight from Baltimore, Maryland with Jeff Hardy’s first appearance on the show as the WWE Champion after his big win at Armageddon. Advertised locally for the tapings is Big Show vs. Undertaker in a cage. Other than that, no matches have been announced for either show.

– WWE’s Armageddon pay-per-view featured only 81 minutes of wrestling, which has to be down from the usual number.

– If you don’t know by now, the chick in the crowd who interacted with Beth Phoenix and Santino Marella on last night’s RAW was developmental Diva Milena Roucka. Obviously they’re building towards something between the three.

– RAW Superstar Deuce, son of WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy Snuka, was repackaged last night on RAW and is being called Sim Snuka. It appears he will be siding with Randy Orton, Manu and Cody Rhodes. Sim’s father Jimmy was backstage at RAW last night but they chose not to bring him on TV, probably to ensure that Sim wouldn’t be cheered. The plans to repackage Deuce and focus on his second generation status goes back to when he was drafted to RAW after WrestleMania.
