– Devin sent the following: Former WWE/TNA talent Chris “Braden Walker” Harris will be appearing in a hair vs. hair match on 1/17 for the Northern Wrestling Federation in Fort Wright, Kentucky, facing Roger Rufen.
– The Phoenix New Times profiled the Socko Energy Drink company, which has released energy drinks in conjunction with WWE and Hulk Hogan, noting the company has already made over $4 million during its short time in existence.
– A number of wrestling talents appeared over the weekend in Secaucus, New Jersey at a sports-themed autograph show. This was the show that Ric Flair pulled out of at the last second with his agent claiming that the promoter hadn’t taken care of his obligation. Late Friday, the promoter was able to get in touch with Flair personally and come to an agreement over the issue, so Flair agreed to come. The story making the rounds was that the heat over the issue was on Flair’s agent, Elaine Gillespie. TMZ was chasing Hulk Hogan around the entire time he was in the lobby of the hotel where the event was held. Despite the fact he was signing for $150 inside the show, Hogan stopped and took photos and signed for everyone who asked in the lobby of the event. Some of that footage will pop up on the syndicated TMZ series today. Tammy Sytch, Brutus Beefcake and Tito Santana were also at the convention with Santana and Beefcake signing anything that anyone requested.
– The latest update on Rey Mysterio after last night’s Armageddon pay-per-view is that he is fine and did not break his nose, just busted it up real good off CM Punk’s GTS. Punk was also bleeding from his nose where it looked like he took a nasty shot when Rey hit his 619.
