New WWE Gimmick Debuts, RAW Update, Diva Retiring, More

– MyNetworkTV will re-air the one-hour encore presentation of “WrestleMania: The World Television Premiere” that aired back in October on December 18th, this coming Wednesday night.

– Former WWE Diva Kara “Cherry” Slice is leaving the wrestling business at the end of this year to focus on her education and will not be taking part in any more independent shows for the time being.

– The promos began airing on SmackDown last night for the dark new character that developmental talent Hade Vansen is doing. The character talked about walking in darkness his whole life, the prophecy and something about taking immortal power for someone.

– As noted on Tuesday, this week’s three-hour edition of RAW with the Slammy Awards scored a 3.0 cable rating for the three hours it was on. The show ranked #2 in Adults 18-49 with a 2.06 rating and ranked #2 in cable in Males 18-49 with a 2.69 rating. 4,791,000 P2+ viewers watched RAW this week with a median age of 34.1 and a male skew of 65%. RAW was down 8% with Adults 18-49 and down 7% with Males 18-49 from the previous week. The 8pm hour averaged a 2.7 rating with 4,194,000 viewers. The 9pm hour averaged a 3.16 rating with 4,839,000 viewers and the 10pm hour averaged a 3.18 rating with 4,745,000 viewers.
