WWE is making releases on a one-by-one basis rather than conducting massive layoffs, which they have traditionally done in the past, in order to appease Wall Street. The feeling is that this gives investors the feeling that WWE is constantly evaluating talent and making informed decisions to improve their bottom line. Additionally, this keeps WWE stars on their toes as they’re always having to worry about being the next one to receive the pink slip.
