- The general feeling at last night’s TNA iMPACT tapings was that the angle the shot with The Main Event Mafia beating down Christian Cage and Kurt Angle bringing up WWE was their way of writing him out. TNA made the decision to write him out now as the belief internally is that he is looking to return to WWE. Rather than be caught off guard at the last minute, like they were with Gail Kim, the company chose to write him out now.

Christian’s deal with TNA is not up until next month and TNA is still discussing a new contract with him. If he chooses to resign with TNA, a revenge storyline with The MEM is already set. If not, they’ve built up The MEM by having them run Christian out of the company.
