CM Punk Speaks on His Name, Jeff Hardy and More

– ESPN’s website has a new feature up with CM Punk that also takes a look at him in the new SmackDown vs. RAW 2009 website.

The article notes that Punk is one of only five Superstars to have their own custom storyline mode in the game. The author plays as Punk in the game against Jeff Hardy and Punk says he’s almost positive that’s a real feud that we will see in the future.

Punk also talked about his name and what he means. He joked around and said CM has always stood for one thing: Chicago Made. Punk also said he doesn’t have the best name in the business. “I think CM Punk is one of the worst names in the business, but I am what I am,” he says. As for the other bad names in wrestling history? “I’m a big fan of unnecessary alliteration. I’m a big comic book nerd, so it always tickled me that everybody’s name is like Peter Parker or Lana Lang. So in wrestling, Duke ‘The Dumpster’ Droese was always a really good bad name.”

The former World Heavyweight Champion also said he looks forward to a second title reign and thinks the 2009 Royal Rumble would be a good place to start.

HUGE NEW PLANS REVEALED FOR NEXT WEEK’S RAW, SURVIVOR SERIES AND ARMAGEDDON!
