- WWE.com has an article on last week’s episode of SmackDown breaking its own record as the most-watched telecast among total viewers in the history of MyNetwork TV for the third time this month. The article notes that twice as many viewers tuned in to SmackDown than the Wizards vs. Cavaliers and Thunder vs. Lakers NBA preseason games on ESPN combined. They also doubled the audience of College Football on ESPN2 (Boise State vs. San Jose State).

- WinnipegFreePress.com is reporting that World Wrestling Entertainment has signed Canadian wrestler “Prime Cut” Jon Cutler to a three-year developmental deal. He will begin training at Florida Championship Wrestling in a few weeks. The Winnipeg native hopes to follow in the footsteps of fellow Winnipeggers and Rowdy Roddy Piper. He told the newspaper, “I keep thinking that guys like Jericho and Piper set the bar pretty high, so I kind of feel a little bit of pressure that even though I’m getting my shot, I don’t want to let people down. Those aren’t easy names to follow.”

- The ratings are in for Week 2 of ’s Celebrity Championship Wrestling on CMT. The show had four airings (one more than last week), with the primetime 8 PM airing doing 0.3 cable rating, down from last week’s 0.4.
