-Stephanie McMahon turns 32 today. Maybe they were out celebrating her birthday at the Motorhead concert last week.
– People Magazine is reporting that Hulk Hogan’s son Nick will likely be released three months early from his eight month sentence stemming from the August 2007 car wreck that left his friend John Graziano permanently disabled. The release would be for good behavior. Nick was sentenced on 5/9/08, which meant his initial release would have been 1/9/09. A release several months early could allow him out by next month. Nick had pitched the idea of doing a reality series based on his release from prison to his father during the early days of incarceration. When tapes of that conversation, among others, were leaked by the media, it sparked an outrage against the Hogan family, as the statements directly contradicted the family’s demeanor in court towards the incident during Hogan’s sentencing.
– WWE talent executive John Laurinaitis was in Louisville, Kentucky yesterday to scout Ohio Valley Wrestling talent. Laurinaitis flew exclusively to audition and tape a handful of OVW wrestlers including Ryback, Pat Buck, Joey Matthews (Joey Mercury), ladies wrestler Serena, former WWE Superstar Rob Conway, Angel of Sin, Low Ryder, Kris Cage and JD Michaels. WWE ended its long term relationship with Ohio Valley Wrestling as a developmental territory in February of this year, leaving Florida Championship Wrestling as the company’s only developmental group.
