WWE Wanting More Japanese Stars, Swagger’s Streak, More

– The Stamford Advocate reports that an affiliate of Seaboard Properties Inc. of Stamford, CT has bought the building at 88 Hamilton Ave. in Stamford, which houses a few businesses including a manufacturing facility and studios for WWE. Not much significance here but WWE leases studio space in the building through 2012.

– WWE is still touting ECW Superstar Jack Swagger as being undefeated with a 2-0 record, as recent as their preview for tonight’s ECW on Sci-Fi. Swagger lost to Finlay at a SmackDown/ECW live event in Bowling Green, Ohio last night. It’ll be interesting to see if WWE acknowledges this loss in the storyline. I believe Swagger may have lost a match or two before on the live shows.

– As a part of their international expansion, WWE is looking to sign more Japanese wrestlers. The company has signed New Japan wrestler Naofumi Yamamoto and had talks with Takeshi Morishima a month or so back. WWE is also still looking to sign more talents from Mexico.
