News on RAW’s 800th Episode, CM Punk vs. Jericho, More

– Ted sent word that vs. for the World Heavyweight Championship is being advertised for the main event at the 10/11 RAW tapings in Reno, Nevada.

– Ben sent word that the 9/22 edition of WWE Monday Night RAW will be the 800th episode and wondered if it might be a three-hour special. After looking into it, I found the show will be just a standard two-hour program.

– Melanie sent the following: It looks like WWE told another lie on Raw this week with their “Did you know?” trivia segment. They claimed that Raw is the longest running weekly entertainment show in history with more episodes than ER, Seinfeld and The Simpsons combined. I did some research and found that Seinfeld has 180 episodes, Simpsons has 420 and ER has 309 which is 909 total. Raw only has 798 as of now. Either WWE didn’t check their facts or they’re trying to fib another one on us.
